Green ThoraxVery nice frame for the price! I am currently using the 2206 baby beast motors with 20a Afro esc's with the cc3d on 4s getting 9 minutes of flight time.excelente y resistente frame, despues de muchos golpes no se han roto mas que las palas, lo he probado con naza lite y con CC3D y se comporta de maravilla, el CG lo encuentran en linea con los motores del centro. This thing looks quite flimsy, however, was pleasantly surprised how rigid and thick the arms were.Great frame! I had been looking for a cheaper alternative to the expensive "mini" hex frames out there and for <$30 this can't be beat!
My current build has the Thorax frame with Multistar Elite x2204 motors. With a 2200mAh battery the setup weighs 650 grams and hovers around 45pcnt throttle. The frame is very well thought out and has lots of room for mounting things. The vibration isolation mount works great for my go-pro.
Two things I would change would be to add spacers between the two bottom plates, this would allow ESCs and power distribution to be done between the two bottom plates, helping keep the build clean. It would also be nice if hobbyking had replacement arms or some sort of landing gear to help soften the landings.I really like this frame kit!! I bought it on a whim, I had purchased 4 of the 3100KV 1306 motors for another project and they turned out to be physically too small. So I had 4 motors and esc's and figured I'd get two more of each along with this kit. The kit comes well packaged, assembly is simple and obvious and it looks damn good! It's also WAY cheaper than the mini hex from TBS...
There's room for all your FPV gear.
Current configuration: 6x 3100Kv motors, 6x Turnigy Plush 12A Esc's, EzUHF 8ch lite Rx, EagleTree Vector Flight controller on a Zippy 3s 2200.
Very fast forward flight>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>! I ordered another frame for spares though I haven't needed it yet.Flies great with Cobra 2204 1960 KV on 4s with 5x3's. Insanely stable and tons of power. The board camera slot is small so account for that. Mobius mount works great, no jello at all.clean and easy to mount frame i really like the palce for the mobius cameraOverall awesome looking frame, only down fall is that it really doesn't fit 6 inch props without having to flip the two middle motors and the arms are very brittle. They snap easily on hard landings. If they were to offer spare arms i would be buying a whole bunch of themThis little hex is perfect in every way. Very well designed and lite.
