So far so good! I disassembled it to build it into a different shape for a motorized longboard, and the solder job inside is very nice. Build quality is normal for a plastic thing, no surprise there. What did surprise me is the tiny ball bearing they added to the steering knob for extra smoothness. I imagine if your use case is a car, you won't have much, if any, binding or wear on the steering knob for a ver long time.
The receiver is very very small, which is appreciated.
This is a good item for a budget car.have purchased many of these remotes they have been great and reliable.
The GT2B is my go to remote when installing third channel for lights or accessoriesGreat radio system. It's light weight and very small. The range is good enough for any track. Also the lipo battery lasts a very long time between charges. The 3rd chanel is kind of lame, it is just an on off with no indicator or adjustment for it. It would work good for lights and that's it.I purchased two of these radios for a father son project and they ROCK! I have been in the hobby since 1983 and I have owned many radios from a two stick Futaba radio in a metal case to a high end 16 channel Graupner. For my money this is one of the best radios I have owned. I just ordered another one of these radios for a father daughter project.HK has done it again! Love this transmitter and the price is unbeatable. I've owned various big-name radios and this guy is number one for comfort! The steering wheel is more forward from the trigger which to me is more comfortable and natural. Reminds me of a Traxxas radio in a good way. Did you know it includes changeable back straps? Wheel is hard rubber and feels much better than a super soft foam type to me. I'd swear it's using ball bearings inside because the wheel is so smooth and linear. Range? YES! On an overcast day with drizzling rain I ran my vehicle so far away it was just a small dot and hard tell which direction it was traveling. Ran out of space in the field and never could get it to lose signal. Lightest weight radio I've owned. If I had to dig for one complaint it would be the trigger's reverse. Forward is smooth and linear like expected but pushing the trigger forward feels more like a rubbery squish than a spring tension. Still I don't really notice this while driving. Certainly will buy again if the need arises. This radio works really well and has rechargeable battery and 3 channels for a really good price, Bottom line get one!great transmitter for the price. nice features.
