Can't really fault this model , well made and great value for money.
C.G. Is further forward than stated. ( still working on exact place, will post when sorted)
Put the tail servos under the cockpit not in the tail ( for weight and looks).
Get some cheap HK electric retracts.
Use a HK dual bec8 with 2 batteries ( better than dead weight up front and a good idea)
Using an ASP .91 four stroke.
Dial back the throws on the servos.

Bought this plane a few months back and finally got it put together and flying. There were a few quirks with assembly which required minor modifications. Started out with a Magnum .91 RFS on it and E-Flite 60-120 sized electric retracts. Came in at about 9.2 lbs with no fuel. Plane flies GREAT!!!...better than expected to be honest! Very gentle handling on take-off and landings are honestly amazingly predictable. If there is any wind, I dont use the flaps at all to land. Only on dead-calm days do I deploy some flaps. I've since upgraded this nice bird to an OS FS-110a and WOW...it's a machine with the increased power. This plane gets LOTS of attention at my local field....it's a warbird you dont see often. There are a few things that could use modification to make it more user friendly. for example, the wing nuts, are in an awkward place making it tedious to assemble/disassemble. I've ended up installing a hatch on the underside of the fuse to make access easier. All in all, it's a beautiful plane with excellent flight characteristics for a warbird. the mechanical retracts that come with it are crap....my only real complaint except for the wing bolts. I used some upgrade (but inexpensive) mech retracts before just swapping them to full electric retracts. This is a great plane!

i crash mine on its maiden flight today..still thinking of what happened.took of alright.. was making a circular patern. then the plane started to be a bit unstable.i took my landing gear out, an came for landing, and it then sudenly just fell verticaly like a stone. was buried a foot deep in the sand. too much damage to be fix..the only explanation i had is that i might have slowed down too much and had the plane a bit nose heavy. really sad.

The DVD showing building is a novel idea. If it had more information. The retracts are a real pain, fitting them the way instructed only jams things up when working them. Wrong way round and everything works except the cover plate does not fit.I can live without that. But I wanted to put it on show for the public on special days. Not a good idea if things aren't as they should be. Servo's at the back doesn't look scale like (stand off) Other than that, Quite a good model.

Hola, el domingo 26 de agosto pasado probamos en el campo este modelo, es un "cadillac" no vuela, se desliza por el aire, muy maniobrable, docil pero rpido cuando se le exige, aterrizaje suave sin flaps, bajsima carga alar, Contra: viene un cd con malisimas explicaciones, quien me lo arm le instal el servo del elevador adelante sino quedara muy pesado de cola entonces no hizo falta agregarle nada de lastre en la nariz, motor que se le instal: ASP 91 2t; hlice tipo APC 12x6, en cuanto al tren se le instal 2 servoless electricos, de instalar un servo de tren en el medio habra que desconectar el servo de tren cada vez que instales o desinstales las alas, es muy complicado, ya de por si ahy muchos cables que unir en el armado, bateria usada : LiFe 2450 mh y receptor Orange de 8 ch.

This plane needed several modifications during assembly. I mounted the servos amidship instead of in the tail. The CG in the instructions is too far back. Mine is equipped with a DLE 20 gas engine and Spring Air retracts and Robart struts. Weights about 10 lbs. I had to cut openings in the upper front cowl above the spinner and duct air back to the carb area as the rear carb was getting too hot with the pitts muffler back there. Plane flies very good. Slow take offs and landings. Plenty of power with this engine. The flaps are effective and help landing over obstructions, as in corn at the end of the runway.

El avin llego entero por el buen embalaje, muy deficiente las instrucciones para el armado que viene en cd. dice que necesita 4 servos cuando en realidad son 7 y as otras referencias equivocadas, la terminacin es muy buena, tambien liviano y fuerte que le da una carga alar muy baja, el precio es bueno, muy pobre los decal, le instalar un motor asp 91 2t, en cuanto lo pruebe les digo como anda.

It took a bit of work and some mods. Servos in center and not tail, etc. Use a DLE 20. Total weight 10 lbs. This plane flys very well for a warbird. Slow take offs and landings. Does all the warbird manuvors with ease. Good control even at low speeds.
