Great functioning gimbal EXCEPT for two things:
this has an HMBGC v1.01 board which is KNOWN to have faulty/very poor quality 3.3v and 5v rails which will blow out when there is too much resistance on the motors while running at 12 volts. Loads of people have these boards fry because of it, so HK please use something worth more than 8 dollars.
ALSO, the motor mounts are really poorly designed and will break after time because of poor/small size bolts holding too much weight.I received mine from the international warehouse yesterday. One of the motors was locked up and sure enough when I powered it up, only the one axis worked. I'm not about to return this because I'll be waiting two months to get a replacement. What kind of quality control does Hobbyking have, apparently none. If Hobbyking makes this right, I will remove this review. I order a ton of stuff from them, but this is ridiculous. I'll be looking elsewhere for items now.Well if there was support available it might be a decent gimbal. Mine vibrates and is a little off axis in the roll. It also will not allow to tilt strait down. No instructions any where to be found.i looks very good but when i make the gopro to face down the gimbal will not work well and it will vibrate alotStrong vibrations from the engines and abnormal movement of the axes.
Really very unhappy, terrible!I ordered two of these gimbals and both had faults. The first one I ordered, the control board burnt out while using a 3S battery. The gimbal was functioning well for about 5 minutes before the control board stopped working.
The second gimbal I ordered had a faulty pitch axis that would vibrate and not stabilize. I've given up on this gimbal and I will try another brand.I haven't had mine in the air yet, but it works fine when testing it on the ground. My problem is that the pitch control from RC is very slow and won't tilt more than -45 degrees. I want -90 degrees. My setup is FrSky Taranis with 2 X8R one for the hex operation and one for camera operation. For pitch control I've selected switch RS and channel 9. What GUI should I use to access the controller board?I've been using it for a few days and am happy with it. I wrote a short review at Flitetest in the forum. I'm still paranoid about using anything but 2S. Here's the link.

The mounting was not very level hence the tilt in the video (see video). The GoPro is a breeze to put on and take off for charging, card access, etc.. The only downside to this gimbal is a lack of hook-and-rod mounting options.
