i also run this motor in my artech cessna and love every minute flying this plane with it!!
ive got the plane trimmed out nicely and the weight ive saved gives me great flight performance and the batts run cooler AFTER the flight than they do before the fly!!!so much so...im gonna buy another for my next project!!!!Great little motor, powering 500g parkflyer with 8x4 prop on HTX 1000mah 3s. Too powerful really but great fun. Much more power, efficiency and thrust than speed 400 used before. Spare shafts are available from UH for those woops moments.I powered my Wingo with this motor. Now, it has more power than it had with the stock speed 400 can motor. I am still using the stock propeller (125/110mm, 4.9x4.3in) and the motor is pulling 8 amps, full throttle. A nice hint is to use a little of thread locking on the screws that hold the motor (moving part) on its base. Without thread locking, these screws become loose and the motor vibrates a lot at high speeds.using it on a 600G 120 cm zagi delta with 12C 1500 mAh 3S Lipo.
7x5 APC propeller -> 13 A
8x6 APC propeller -> 19 A
The 7x5 propeller is the better choice in my configuration.
Great product at incredible price !I also run one of these in an Art-Tech Cessna 182 with GWS 8x4.3 prop and 3S LiPo The plane will take off in about 1 meter and climb vertically. Great performance at a budget price!! I have also installed one on my GWS Slow Stick and with a 3S LiPo it will also climb vertically from a 1 meter takeoff!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED UPGRADE FOR ANY SMALL PARKFLYER!!!I have been using one of these in a ArtTech Cessna 182 with a APC 8x4 prop. Power and performance are really excellent and you can not beat the price.Here are my rough results of test using kitchen scales and 2 cell LiPo.
