The first one of these I bought. Cut out (killed power, once killed all controls) at random times during flight, twice at launch. Replaced with a proven esc on hand and system worked fine. Good esc for the priceI buy this esc and I plug it with the battery and the motor, after I turn on the power and I program the esc. Finaly I try it in my hand, and after few seconds, the reciever reset like when we plug the battery.
I also try it with a HobbyKing esc 20A and it work perfectly!Heavy duty heat sink, this ESC throws tha powah!Excellent ESC. I have started using these in my smaller planes. Have not had any trouble with them. My son also uses these. No problems. Another fine product from Turnigy.Connected this today just to be sure it was working fine and item came with full instructions and performed fine. This items has a heat sink on it that I will likely partially expose to allow better airflow over the fins. This is strange ? All servos C929MG work fine with a Orange Rx But after abut 60 seconds everything goes dead ??? I have tried different 2200mha 3S lipos and still the same issue ? I have to unplug everything and start again any one else had any similar issues ?
Regards MarcBought this for the Hobby King Yak-55. Does not work with 4 servo's - only with 3. The BEC is rated at 2A. When connecting the fourth servo (or Y-Cable to the fourth) the ESC shuts down. The 5,6V line drops to 2,6V and the servo's jitter and the throttle does not work. If you are planning to set up a plane for acrobatics, it will be better to have BEC current of 3A or more. Each of the servos' I used peaked at 450mA and if all four peaks at the same time and you add the 100mA the receiver draws, the margin towards the 2A BEC is not enough. Little dissapointed here, but I guess I should have read the specs more accurately.I just bought four of these for my quadcopter. Three worked fine, the fourth smoked after about thirty seconds at idle speed. I put back one of me old ESC's and the quad is working fine now. It looks like it shorted out inside. Noe I have to figure out how to get it replaced from Hobby King.
