Looks good.
However the shaft sticking out the one end was bent - very small amount, and almost not noticeable when just running the motor up by itself. But enough to cause massive vibration once I connected the 16x8 prop to it. During run-up test, the collett prop shaft got bent from the vibration. When I put my finger on the shaft, i could feel the bend when it was rotating with no collett and no prop. If you are wondering, my prop was balanced prior to test, as was the prop cone etc.
I had to modify the motor mount to mount the motor the other way around and use the other end with the bolt-on prop hub. That end is fine.
All in all, product shipped defective.
Only reason I have not had to deal with the massive hassle of a return, is because I can still use it (with the other end - hub mount).
However, i just tried to order a new accessory kit (collett etc) and a spare shaft: both on back-order. ugh!I have this motor in my Chris Foss Wots-Wot which weighs around 3.2kg (lbs) with a 14x7 prop 60A esc and 5s 5000mAh. It is very powerful and quite economic - 10 minute flights with 50pcnt power left. Does aerobatics fine. It is a bit slow though - I bought it because there were no higher kv motors available. But it is still very good value. I may swop it out when the faster ones come back in stock.I have used this to fit in my balsa/ply Wots-Wot electric. Its a great motor - plenty of power and runs well. Seems a quality product in terms of manufacture. The WW spec is for a 700kv motor but this is all I could get at HobbyKing UK. I tried it with a selection of props and its worth checking which is best - the watt meter told me 13x6.5 gave sufficient power. Recommended.Garbage motor, garbage bearings, 2 flights and bearings destroyed, the worst motor I ever purchased.Ive had this motor for a couple months and I just got around to installing it on my carbon Z Cub.. I had to extend it out with 15mm standoff motor mounts do to its shorter then the original motor.. I used the HK 80amp esc and initially used a 16x8 apc electric prop. and it ran about 48amps and 1080 w.. after the first flight I realized minimal power more then stock.. I ended up with a 17x10 prop, now it runs 65 amps and just over 1400 w. bottom line I like this motor.. p.s. don't use the bolts that come with this motor for the prop adapter, they will brake and cause damage to your plane..Really good. Using on SebArt Pitts Pyton 50e. APC 18x8 and 4000 6S 40C lipo.
Equivalent to Hacker A50 class motor.
4900 grams trust at less than 50A.Running this motor in my Hobbyking MXS-R 64" with a 18x8 Xoar wood prop and 6s 5000mAh liPo. Performance is terrific, couldn't want for more. I've not put a wattmeter on it yet as i was in a big hurry to get her in the air so i'll report back once i do.Verwende 2 dieser Motoren in einer Miss Wind und im 2 m Stick. Jeweils mit 6 S.
Die Miss Wind geht unendlich senkrecht. Fr den Stick reicht es nicht ganz aus.
Werde mal noch ein 8S Setup testen.this motor has unbelievable vertical power in combination with a 6S Lipo 5000mAh/40C zippy or Turnigy Lipo swinging a 17/10 or 18/8 wooden electric propeller in an F3A/3D Hybrid model. Do not use bigger props when You fly more then 10 seconds on full gas in a row when outside temperature is over 30 degrees Celsius with this set up. 1 star less for the quality because the bearings are very sensitive. had to change mine 2 times in a year and I balance my props absolutely perfect.
