I'm surprised that there arent other reviews for these LiFe packs yet .... The less volatile LiFe chemistry allows for permanent installation & HK's VFM is great as usual - I've dropped one star for quality however, as cell matching could be better! .... I've installed a pair of these packs in a 15lb AUW 6ft wingspan ARF Cessna 152 because my EP conversion didnt allow for easy battery access.... The penalties are a 10pcntish lower energy density than LiPos & an enforced hour delay between flights whilst re-charging (at a sensible 1C rate although 2C rate is permitted), rather than swapping packs.. I'm getting acceptable flight durations & view the lower energy density as simply a weight penalty! My two 5S packs are linked in series for flight, in-lieu of 8S LiPo - maximum discharge is under 12C..... I've clamped the battery connectors (changed to 4mm HXTs) to the firewall with a small access opening in the bottom of the engine cowl to allow access for charging the packs in series, in parallel or individually & for the insertion of a fused jumper & the ESC connector for flight. Unlike LiPos, LiFe packs don't get ruined due to over discharge, when you get carried away with those extra circuits. However, just like with an empty gas tank on an IC rig there isn't a lot of warning before they are fully discharged.
