This superb Hobbyking Edge 540 is of of the highest quality, it's ultra light and tough airframe is designed for 3D, which coupled with a 50cc engine gives unlimited vertical. The superb and very bright colour scheme has been expertly applied using Oracover and is ideal for orientation....it also looks pretty good too!
The motor mounting box is substantial and more than up to handling a powerful 50cc engine, the thrust line has also been pre-built in. This Edge 540 is practical as you would expect with both the wings and the horizontal stabilizers being plug in. The supplied hardware is excellent, with all control surfaces being ball-linked and the rudder a pull/pull arrangement, for 3D pilots, a large choice of servo control horn extensions are also supplied. The main wing tube, horizontal stabilizer mounting tube and tail wheel bracket are all CF.
This fantastic looking Edge is an ideal 1st Gas plane for an RC Pilot maybe wanting to try larger models for the first time as it is an easy and potentially cheap build for this class. A very capable 3D model that is just as happy being flown as an everyday sport model, the huge cowl will allow for a variety of engines to suit your pocket and flying style, one this is assured, you will never tire of flying this high performance/low cost Edge!
