Montate su Tucano .55 perfette, sostengono più di 4KGThese struts work very well in the Hobby King Diablo EDF Jet. They are durable and light. My Diablo weighs 8.5 lb. These work as if they were designed for that airplane.I have not fix it yet but it really looks good qualityI have this retracts in a 2,6kg Phantom 2 (FlyFly, 90mm EDF). Launch and land on grass with it. I'm very satisfied.
I have this retracts in a DH Vampire (3,2kg), at maiden after 10 meters rolling on grass, the retracts are damage! The material is to soft.
I expected them to be: a good basis for people who want to build their own struts but not wanting to "re-invent the wheel" from scratch. Stroke is only 10mm which is very poor. I increased this to 20mm by modding the "piston"-part of the leg. The spring-force is way too strong for a 4kg plane (thats what I wanted them for). But this can be modified. Play of all links and fittings is pretty small, manufacturing precision is definitely satisfying. Taking the above mentioned measures makes the set a good basis for a nice gear.First class landing gear ideal for many 90mm size EDF's. Very strong, and well made. The plastic wheel hubs don't look great in white but they are strong and can be painted to look better. These are going into my Fly fly Mirage, F-100, Hobby Topgun L-39 and Mig 15.
Finally, some gear that can take the odd hard landing without bending or falling apart!Very nice set of Ole struts. There is almost no slop in the system, machining looks very nice. Springs are a bit stiff:
Front 2.6Kg for full compression
Rear 4.2Kg for full compression
Wheels don't look very nice with the plastic hub, but they fit nicely on the axle. A bit of metallic silver paint will make them look much better.
Overall impression is excellent. I will be fitting these to a JePe L-39. Very little modification needed for that jet.
