Introducing the Durafly Tundra, No Limits flying!
From the beginner pilot to the experienced flier this plane will do it all. The Tundra is an extremely versatile plane that is easy to fly and would make an ideal club trainer whilst still being highly entertaining for the experienced pilot with aerobatics and excellent vertical performance.
Whether it is flying from rough fields, water, snow or sand, the Tundra takes on all with ease. The Tundra has a wide flight envelope making it ideal for FPV flying, aerobatics, glider towing, candy dropping or just good old fashioned super STOL slow flying,
The tough EPO foam construction is beautifully finished with a great look. Its light weight design coupled with a powerful brushless set-up instantly gives you a feeling of confidence on the sticks as quickly as it puts a smile on your face.
This rugged and reliable plane can also get into those tight and hard to land places with its huge flaps and extreme STOL performance. The large main wheels make it easy to land just about anywhere. Swap out the wheels for the supplied floats and you'll be flying from lakes, streams and other waterways.
A quick change to the FPV canopy will give you more extreme fun flying. More excitement can be found utilizing the built in tow fitting for towing your friend’s gliders to the best thermals.
Simply put the Tundra is an immense amount of fun to fly and you will be flying soon enough due to a very straight forward and speedy assembly process.
Some neat optional extras are the addition of skis for fun on snow. Take on the very best mother nature can throw at you and still come up smiling. With the Tundra, there are no limits!

I already have a Tundra and it's the best buy ever☺
But I gave an issue with optional parts.
I am looking for the Candy drop module, which Hobbyking talks about in the review of the plane, but it's out of stock. Can I ever order one?Love the fact that it COMES WITH EXTRAS; floats, FPV canopy, water rudder, reversible ESC, glider tow point built in. The oversize tires handle rough terrain easily and the plane flys great. Fun to practice touch and go landings. Great value!Really fun model, as listed in the instructions, it can take off with flaps 45. Apply full power and immidiatly after take off switch off flaps. otherwise you can experience take off looping. Similary, at landing, when in final, power to zero, wait few second, flaps 45-90, descend, just before leveling, apply some power an land. It helps if you have flaps on 2 seconds delay. No elevator mix required if you use flaps at low speeds.Just a wonderful model that can be used for everything from just relax flying to dropping parachute jumpers with the kids. Jus have a look at my Tundra videos in my Tundra playlist on hove versatile this model is, you can find my playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEXWg-hfXiGx-qfxIj08AY5GnJUzRPDndMagnificent plane that is a joy to fly. Thank you to HK and Durafly for developing this one. I've been searching for a plane that can land in the fields of long grass that I have near me and the Tundra is perfect. It can plow over bumpy ground and thick grass with ease. In the air it's aerobatic and the flaps really do allow for short takeoffs. Great fun! I'm yet to try the reversing esc but I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun too.
I've given it 4 crowns for quality because some elements of the build were a pain. The little plastic clips that hold the aileron and flap pushrods in place are very difficult to clamp on and one snapped on me when I tried to mount it. Similarly, the wheel nuts are an extremely tight fit on the axles and I needed to drill them out and then screw them on with pliers. The wing was also very difficult to slide far enough onto the carbon spar to mount successfully. The build probably took me 6 hours incl setting up the receiver.
Aside from these relatively small build issues, the overall quality of the model is very good and I am having a blast with it.I have been flying since early 70:s. Today I made maiden flight with the Tundra and I must say I have never had so fun as I had today. The Tundra can satisfy any pilot biginner or pro. I recommend it to everyone.best little plane on the market thats why its out of stock all the time, wish they made a bigger oneHello,
I'm quite impressed by the innovations around this product and how easy it is to assemble it. However the left wing servo connector was defective and caused erratic responses and reactions from the flaps and ailerons. As a result the flap servo stripped and I had to bypass the connector by using a Y harness through the fuselage.
Flys great loads of power love the reverse power on land if only it had a bigger wing span that would be great.Horizontal Stab broken out of the box, held together with decals only.
Flap assembly put together by blind mans seeing eye dog. Nothing lined up or fitted correctly, so flaps could not be retracted fully, major surgery to fix. Push rods and associated fittings poor quality and difficult to use. I will replace with easily adjustable versions. Overall not impressed at all with build quality.
