This stunning Extra 330S is a superbly finished mid-size model that has been designed very much with extreme 3D aerobatic's in mind. The airframe combines a very low flying weight with generous control surfaces to give the RC pilot precise control and amazing performance.
As well as featuring a high quality airframe, this Extra 330S really looks the part courtesy of it's fantastic colour scheme which has been achieved with quality covering that has been expertly applied. The all balsa and plywood airframe arrives with a 1 piece wing helping to keep the weight low. For ultimate precision the tail servos are mounted in the aft fuselage keeping the pushrods very short and direct. Rugged aluminum landing gear, a fiberglass cowl, and wheel pants dress up the model while a complete hardware package rounds it out. Arriving as an almost ready to fly configuration, a few hours work completing final assembly and installing all your electronics is all that is needed. Depending on your preference, you can set the Extra 330S up for either nitro, or electric power.
Flying the Extra 330S is a treat. With the extreme light weight of the model yet ample power on tap, extreme 3D is all within your grasp. The low wing loading means you can harrier it at a walking pace just on the edge of a stall, then pour on the power and do waterfalls, blenders, or whatever other manuevers you can think of.

Change the landing gear...invest in some carbon fiber landing gear. Drill out 2 new holes in the wing mount and use 1/4 20 nylon bolts with 2 new anchor nuts. Swap the rudder Servo to the elevator and vs vrs the elevator. Use a .61 two stroke or 91 four stroke. I'm using the saito 100 and it's lighter than a OS 91 four stroke.Beautiful well made artf kit however the pushrod threaded ends do not seem to fit standard stock 2mm clevises due to incomatible threading and there are no metal clevises supplied even though it shows them on the pictorial instructions .Apart from this small problem the kit is very comprehensive and complete. cant wait to finish it and flight test it.Very strange design having the wing bolt on the bottom with only one screw (had to bind the fuselage to get the wing screw in as wing doesn't seat well) for a supposed extreme 3D model, the wing don't fit right, servo mounts had to be modified to fit any standard servos, elevator design makes it hit the rudder on full down elevator when left rudder is used in combination. You have to cut the canopy out and glue it on, the cowl was poorly formed and is wavy on the one side. The landing gear mount is a heavy heavy chunk of aluminum that is way to heavy for any plane. I'm not sure this plane will ever get its maiden flight.
