Popis
produktu

Packing 500mW of output power this V2 433Mhz Telemetry Radio Set allows you to link to a flight controller such as our HKPilot Mega or Multiwii AIO to a USB or Uart equipped device such as a computer, laptop or tablet supporting a USB connection (OTG). The new V2 radios, no longer have a separate Air/Ground module, as both transceivers can use Uart or USB connections and supports both modes. The Radio set not only lets you see live data, such as live GPS position overlaid on a map, system voltage, heading, waypoint navigation even artificial horizon and so much more. Using open source MAVlink based ground station software, you can even fly your aircraft with a joystick via your computer and update settings live! Or just use it for your DIY projects that needs a wireless Serial interface. This kit offers a great low price, longer range and superior performance. The system utilizes the 433MHz band and provides a full-duplex link using HopeRF's HM-TRP modules running custom, open source, firmware.

Features:
• Interchangeable air and ground 433MHz modules
• Micro-USB port
• 6-position Molex connector
• 500 mW maximum output power (adjustable)
• -117 dBm receive sensitivity
• SMA connector
• 2-way full-duplex communication through adaptive TDM
• UART interface
• Transparent serial link
• MAVLink protocol framing
• Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS)
• Configurable duty cycle
• Error correction corrects up to 25% of bit errors
• Open-source SIK firmware
• Configurable through *Mission Planner and *APM Planner

Specs:
Supply voltage: 3.7-6 VDC (from USB or Molex connector)

Frequency regulations vary by country, so consult your local airspace authority to find out which frequency is legal in your area.

Note: The reference to APM refers to the ArduPilot project, a family of open source autopilots based on the Arduino open source computing platform, developed by 3DR and the open source community. It consists of a choice of ArduPilot Mega (APM) electronics and a range of free software versions for different vehicles and is governed by an open source creative commons license.

This item is very badly designed, it will make a lot of perturbations especially on the video transmitter and the OSD. This happens even if you put ferrites and use a separate power supply for this module.
Also it drains too much current to be used as is on a Smartphone.

It is possible to decrease the input power in the settings but even at a power lower than 100mW it will still perturbates the OSD and the video emitter.

Avoid this device, with the 433MHz antenna from immersion RC and a dipole antenna on the ground you will reach >7km range with the 100mW version from 3DR without perturbating your other transmissions.

First set worked for 2 days (ground testing), then one unit stopped working. HK replaced it swiftly. Second unit is working so far, but I suspect they draw too much power for all my android devices, and as a result, dont work on android. Ive had it working once for a short while, but more typically they dont even power up on the OTG cable and if they do, sometimes my phone/tablet will instantly shut off. Tried many OTG cables, 3 different android tablets/phones. I worked around it by connecting a bluetooth module to the radio, and powering those separately, then connect via bluetooth. Setting the tx power in Mission Planner doesnt seem to work. Build quality is mediocre, the case isnt even held together with screws and comes apart too easily. Cutouts for the connectors are a bit small, and connectors can fall out. Nothing you cant solve with some hot glue and tape though. Range not tested so far, but probably excellent based on ground testing results. Oh, and beware, servo's dont like these radio's, you have to keep this unit well clear from servo wires or they will go beserk.
