You MUST buy this above part to do any basic or complex programming.

Hopefully a link will be placed on this site as I have asked Hobby King to do this a few times to prevent persons getting these and not being about to even reverse a single servo or mix :)

A cheap and reliable system to start. Sooner or later replaced by a better radio. But for beginner its perfect. Receiver ist not veryvery small.
It keeps transmitting when conected to the PC with the simulator cable of HK, what disturbs the Wlan connction down to zero.

I have 3 of these. On 2 of mine the servo channel 4 range (the one that switches the KK2.1 flight controller in and out of safe mode) is insufficient - the pulse width range was 1.32ms to 1.7mms when should be near to 1ms to 2ms. The third unit was 1.14ms to 1.88ms. I also found that the T6config software appeared to have no effect on the stored settings of the transmitter.
I also have the alternative Turnigy TGY-i6 which produces the full servo range although the on-board controlling software not so plain-speak

Easy to program using T6config. Takes abit of battery to run but has a very good range and is very reliable.

Very cheap radio, but works great. I like these radios far better than the steering wheel knob radios.

Pros,
Of course, price.
A good basic radio set.

Cons,
As with many low end transmitters, play in sticks and/or potentiometers gives poor centering. This means each time you return sticks to center servo center position fluctuates about 1-3pcnt making good trimming impossible for sensitive models.

USB Cable is required for even basic settings like servo reverse, but the cable is not included and not clearly specified as "required"

This is my first transmitter for flying and I've gotta say I'm impressed with it for the price, everything works perfectly,it comes as a mode 1 setup but I converted mine to mode 2 easily,4 screws to remove the back panel and then simply swap the small spring/throttle return mechanisms over by unscrewing 1 screw on a little metal tab on one side and using a pair of tweezers for a little spring on the other, very simple no need to solder or swap any electronics over all adjustments are done via software.I did manage to get mine functioning as a flight simulator also but it was tricky, and installing on win7x64 required pressing f8 at start up and then selecting disable driver signature enforcement to enable ppjoy drivers to be installed and run.The simulator served its purpose well and I successfully learned how to fly.For $30 its an absolute bargain just don't forget to order the USB programming cable with it which is now (finally) stocked in the AUS warehouse.

Good radio, had to plug into a computer to get it set up nicely though. The radio does not ship with the required cable so make sure to order one. No manual included either but for the price it's no issue. (The manual can easily be found online). No technical issues/problems beyond initial setup, radio functions as it should.

Good Tx & Rx for the asking price. Had a few issues, namely all the controls were reversed, but I suspect that was a hardware compatibility issue. Connecting to the PC and altering the settings fixed this issue. Like many other people I didn't order a cable, so I followed this guide to create a temporary workaround:

http://psychoul.com/electronics/how-to-make-your-own-usb-cable-for-hk-t6a-calibration

Overall it's a very solid unit, and a good buy for those starting out in the world of RC. Just remember to order the cable too!
