The Hobbyking Alloy EDF series are pre-assembled and dynamically balanced making them simple and easy to fit, no unit assembly is required. As well as high power, these fans have excellent cooling and run so smoothly, the sound is amazing, there is also no housing distortion unlike plastic fans. This nice quality, powerful fan is a great way to upgrade your foamy 50mm jet to a missile in around an hour!

very efficient edf,,,low ampeares and high thrust..looks small in size but the thrust is awsome.the sound of the edf is very good and original and it it very well balanced means no need to balance the edf fan.I have fitted four of these fan units to my second Hobbyking globemaster.ESCs were left as stock. Model took off grass no problem. They are extremely smooth and quiet compared with original units. Performed well with Turnigy nano tech 35-70c battery.I have this in a mini F86 Sabre to replace a DR Madthrust 50mm fan.
Very similar in performance, too close to say, but sounds better than the DRMT. Better than 1:1 thrust/weight in mini F86 with a 850mah 4s 45-90c nanotech. Very happy with this EDF. Mini F86 needed a bit of foam cut out to get this in.Excellent little fan very smooth and efficient. Much better than plastic designs mechanically. Compared to my EDF55 which I'm replacing, its only 27 Grams heavier and delivers 104 grams more thrust in my tests.
2200 mAh 3S EDF55 19.2 Amps 203.5 Watts for 448 Grams
2200 mAh 4S HK Alloy 50mm 22.6 Amps 307 Watts for 552 Grams
Its a bit less efficient but its still a much better piece of engineering, pushes my 700mm scratch build at half throttle niceI bought 3 of these already for my 50mm edf jets paired with zippy compact 4s 1300mah 25c batteries. With this setup, im getting around 3 to 4 minutes flight. They are slightly heavier than plastic edf's but are well balanced and sounds fantastic! Will give your mini jet the power it needs! Nicely balanced, overall a good quality cheap upgrade.Very well satisfied very stable. Do not grind the rotor.Really extremely silent EDF. And powerful as well. Doesnt get to much hot on normal EDF-flying conditions. I'll buy more of them.i use this edf to mini F-16 from hobbyking.
and use 4S 850mah 45c nanotech
do not arrived ordered ESC, so i used pnp 20A ECS
i flying 70pcnt throttle, sometime using full throttle 3-5s , it is enough to flying(70pcnt throttle > 1:1 thrust).... and do not have any problem
i expect to flying after changing ECS (35A)
this EDF have enough power and smooth sound.. i love it
