I used two of them on an electric mountainboard for a year now. Together with two Aerodrive SK3 192kv motors.
On 5S the maximum current on that motor is only 80A, so I get only 1500W out of the motor with is plenty, gives me 3KW total.
Modified the motor with hall sensors for smoother acceleration and braking, works like a charm with this ESC.
Downside is that you can ONLY program it with a program card, not with the tx. But that seems to be the way to go with all the esc now a days.
Also drilled out the bottom holes to make a decend mounting plate. Molto presto vi faccio un recinzione completa.per il momento gli do il massimo..Using it with a Trackstar 1/8 1900KV sensored motor on Traxxas E-Revo 1/8.
Runs great! Using it with 4S (2x 2S) Wheelies down the street! Who needs front wheels?
The X-Car Beast series LCD Program Card didn't work right, so i've flashed it with the ZTW Gecko firmware and now it's all fine. It even added a extra drive function ( Forward/reverse). Been using it with 3.4V lipo cutoff voltage on Turnigy 2s 5000 60C Lipo's and had to put 3650Mah back in the batteries. Maybe i can use 3.2V cutoff to achieve the 80pcnt limit. So far i'm quite happy. This is a rebrand of ZTW 1:8 BEAST SS/SL 150A ESC. Although not specified this ESC is actually waterproof and has has 8,4V BEC! It's sensored so has good startup, actually it has the best startup of any sensored ESC I owned, so good that even on 6S you can use it as a crawler! I use it on a 1:8 truggy running 6S and 1900kV motor, and am very satisfied. It's running cool with extreme good startup and good brake behavior (does not lock the wheels on full brake but let's them spin a little and emulated ABS by doing so). Compared with my other "competition" ESC's it has better startup but when running it's not as smooth and seems to have lower efficiency (on TrackStar GENII i got 16min and on this ESC 13min run-time on the same track & same car setup) so I wouldn't recommend it for competition use. I would recommend it for bashing & heavy cars because of perfect sensored startup and fact that it copes very well with high power draws (large body and heat sink).
... Finally some negatives: quite big & heavy, programming only possible with programming card, 10 AWG wires with thick insulation so problems with fitting smaller connectors, LOUD (really loud) wine during crawl startup, works only with 4 pole motors.
