Very happy with it, shows lot of details and very important for me that it has no loud sound when you connect battery like the simple voltage indicators.Useful voltage cells meter with resolution of 0.01V. Can equalize every single cell, and discharge the battery pack by setting cut-off lower voltage value. But unable to check the remain capacity.checker is a legend gooooodWorks as advertised. Thought it was too easy at first. But hey it is what it is.The good: it works as advertised although it can take a day or two to balance a really out-of-balance battery.
The bad: when it gets hot, you can't read the LCD display anymore. If you're using this to balance healthy batteries with minimal imbalance during charge, it does a great job. I use two on a brand new pair of 6S 16Ah lipos with success.
However, understandable the balancing current is not very high, so it will struggle with your crappy old batteries. Additionally it is fundamentally flawed in that the LCD does not respond well to the heat generated by the balancing process. The LCD goes entirely black, although it does recover when disconnected.
It does not feature any kind of alarms, overvoltage or undervoltage.
It has two modes, balance and discharge. In Balance mode, when all cell voltages exceed a user defined level, the system will try to make all cell voltages match, regardless of voltage. Discharge mode tries to clamp all cells to the same, user defined voltage.Works, but it its not that accurate and cells order is upside down.
The balance function is absolutely useless and may damage your battery if leaved on too long. Mine just discarged one cell when i tried it.
Max i can give it is 2 stars. It suits for fast checking your bat on the field, if you know by how much it differs from your multimeter readings.I have been using this as a voltage checker for some time now. For balancing, it's worthless; after hours hardly anything changed. But recently I wanted to partially discharge a 5S 3000 mah lipo. When I looked at it after half an hour or so, it hat heated up to the point where the screen was black and the back of the plastic housing was deformed. After cooling down it works normally again, but don't expect too much of the discharge option unless you use it for smaller lipo's only.i bought this to keep track of my batteries since i dont use them much, works perfectly. great little product to have in your tool kitIt's a good cell checker, but the balance & discarge functions are next to worthless, they take hours to make the slightest change.
