Wow, this servo is exremly fast, it is strong and running smooth after adding som more rease to the gear, wich is all metall and precisely manufactured. Centering is good and the speed seems to reach the specs given. Middle part of housing is metal, upper and lower side is plastic. The cables are secured by glue to the printboard. Well done this detail. All solder points are looking professional.
Now , after first test on the bench I will use it as tail servo with the GA-250 gyro. After testing in flight, Ill come back with additional information. And I hope it will last a time. Only thing is, the horns are going on very strong/hard, but better than beeing loose.crazily fast! the steering on the car is really insanely quick, and for this price it's really super worth the money, especially compared to better known brands. running at 7.4vThis Servo rocks!!!
Using this servo in my drift car and it is super fast, much faster than i can turn the wheel on the remote.
3 laps with my buggy with no impact and it started to crunch and failed, shame as it seemed amazing up until then. hopefully I'll get a refundHello everyone. I bought this servo as a test(I like to experiment with my racing gear). I race in the BRCA clubmans, and some other smaller clubs with a TC6.1WC, and this servo(shortened lead). The servo is immaculate, stupidly fast, and holds the position nicely. I've been used it for a full outdoor season in 13.5 boosted, and not a hiss from the servo, does it's job properly. If someone has an ESC with high voltage BEC(like CC MMpro or Tekin RS gen2) then they can see the ultimate performance from this servo, with crazy accuracy. I love it, and just about to buy the 2.nd for my other TC6.1. The only major drawback is it's weight(if you are hunting the grams that is). All in all, highly recommended.I bought this servo for my Associated b4.2 competition buggy. The steering now is ridiculously fast and very accurate. The car feels great and ultra-responsive. I can even tune it to steer more slowly if I want on the emitter when needed. Very good servo!!Servo gear-train failed after three (3) uses despite no traumatic events. Closer inspection revealed poorly cut gears as the possible genesis of the malfunction.First : Its a really good, fast Servo, but ..:
Be Aware !
Its on HV very fast and agressive, tends to overshoot if connected to a standard Gyro where you cant adjust acceleration and deceleration.
So on a GP780 Gyro in a Nitro Heli I needet to reduce Supply to 5V, while same Servo works perfekt on a Tarot FBL with 7V, where i could adjust Acc/Deceleration.
In Other Words : This fast agressive Servo with HV connected to a agressive gyro may be to much and lead to a very unstable Tail with high current consumption heating up the Servo.
I have 2 of them one older than 1 Yr and more than 50 Flights.
I would anytime buy again for E-Heli FBL, but not for Nitro-Flybar.Buy it in a lazy mood, i read the numbers 0.03 at 6.0V and torque 8.4kg and i say to myself "to good to be trouth".
I received it and mount it in my T4(XRay) and see where it is going.
It amazed me this speed is superfast and it dash follow the speed of your hands, this is quicker than my finger can turn the steering wheel.
This is value for money and being a happy customer, thank you Hobbyking for making a great product.
