Got first one. Transmitter is a DJT. Binding like Midelic described on https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=35693607&postcount=3069 and all I could get was small bursts of control. Allso the board looked corroded. After a LOT of tries, I finally gave up. HK send me a replacement. Same thing. Tested with new FW FrskyRx_F801_TELEMETRY_PFS_SBUS_071016.hex and it has worked! Flashed the old one and it has worked also.I bought this receiver and also an AC410. Neither will bind to my Taranis. I am not a newbie and do know how to bind them. Both Receivers got too hot to touch. All polarities were correct. D8 mode selected. I think I have wasted my money.Good receiver, Just keep in mind that the failsafe es pre set to CH3 cut, always connect your motor to CH3This receiver is a very bad product! It binded without problem with my Taranis. But the next time I tried to use it, there was no reaction and the components were so burning hot that I could not hold the receiver in the palm of my hand. Obviously poor QC and/or low grade components. Save you money and buy a hardly more expensive real FRSky product. This one is just good enough for the recycle bin :(I have now checked three of these receivers and all react in the same way to loss of radio signal - after initialising throttle down and rudder neutral then channels 3 and 4 both go to 2000 mS ie full swing meaning for most set ups the Motor goes full speed and the rudder hard over!!! Seems to indicate bad firmware to cause this very DANGEROUS situation that could cause both model and personal injury.
This has been reported to HK several days ago.Beware - This Rx has fail safe only on channel 3 on the assumption that channel is the motor!!! (I fly with motor on channel 4 and motor goes to full power not only on signal loss but sometimes for no special reason!!! Very dangerous not to have all channels capable as failsafe. I will not buy any more until this feature is corrected.
i tested this receiver with a power of a controller and it does not work . the minimum of the power to this receiver is 6V . Even you can't bind it ....sure.I test this reciever whith Taranis yesterday. Excellent product , smooth answer of servo and very good range in flight on my test plane.Easy binding connecting signal pins 1&2 , Taranis config: D8 ch 1-4
I recommend this recieverTest flown at last ground range at full power from DFT module in excess of 150M(length of field). Airborne at height near out of sight with large E-gliderGood well made Rx which is very small and light. No chance as yet to flight test but ground range seems OK. I must emphasize that D8 must be available in your Module or Taranis Tx for this Rx to work. There is an issue with some EU firmware that prevents D8 showing as an option and you will need to visit Utube(search for Drone.biz) for videos and info to fix this.
