This famous German glider designed in 1935 is almost a cult classic amongst old-school glider pilots and those looking for something a little different. It's distinctive nose, stubby tail and gull wings are both attractive and functional, helping the original version to reach an altitude record of 6,687m in 1938!
Our Minimoa is a large (2mtr) PNF glider made from super strong reinforced EPO foam.
This model comes pre-built with motor, esc and servos already installed. All you need to do is install your own receiver & battery to be ready to fly in 10 minutes.
The HK Minimoa is well designed, with easy access to the battery compartment, and the wings being easily removed with 2 nylon screws and a wing support bracket, making this an easy glider to set up at the field and fit into the back of your car as it takes around 3 minutes to assemble the main wings.
The gull wings are kept strong with 2 reinforcing rods, inserted at the time of moulding the EPO; they're fixed in place and will never move, providing a strong and slop-free support to the wings.
Everything is included with this kit, all you need to provide is your own transmitter, receiver and battery (around 2200mAh 2 or 3S, 20C).

Aprs petites modifications d'entre et vacuation d'air pour le moteur et rgl le cg avec un poids fourni dans le kit et un accu 2200mA tout l'avant. Juste un mixage des ailerons en frein(relevs) une petite compensation profondeur(2mm piquer)et les snapflaps (35pcnt), trs beau vol jusqu' 20 Km/H. Trs content de mon achat (surtout pour ce prix!) pour un planeur trs joli en vol; voltige, s'abstenit!!!Bravo pour ce petit modle qui fait mieux que se "dfendre" : il vole et vole mme trs bien (max 25 km/h de vent).deux petites choses cependant, bien rgler le centrage au moins 65mm et non pas 54mm bord d'attaque; arer le cne moteur et le support hlice pour "ventiler" le moteur et creuser une aration devant le cockpit afin d'vacuer l'air chaud hors du fuselage. je l'utilise avec les dbattements maximum partout, du diffrentiel aux ailerons'2 voies) un mixage snap flaps et des freins (ailerons relevs et compensation profondeur 15 pcnt). Je l'ai achet juste pour le "look" mais il va devenir mon testeur de pente favori!Had mine for about 12 months now. drilled out spinner for extra air flow over motor removed added weights and used 3000ma 3s climbs nice with a little down mix thermals great. Well done HK great first gliderWell finished, beautiful looking bird. I have read the forums and so have the manufacturer. They have put a latch to hold down the cockpit and even supplies some weights to add to the front. These were shortcomings that were pointed out from reviewers of the early version of this bird. Everything was great till I flew it and then the bird floundered in the wind like a dodo trying to fly and I eventually landed it with no damage. Discovered that who ever was responsible for attaching the motor took a nap and clean forgot to tighten the screws. It was a delicate job to reattach the motor due to the narrow confines. Bad Quality Control so this deserves 4 stars. I add my comments to help future buyers - check those motor mount screws!Sorry, but at this glider definitely something is wrong designed. On the maiden light fist of all the engine goes out and I lost the spinner. Had immediately to go down not to crash it. On one wire on the end the engine was still holding, if this would not happen I would lose him completely.
After repairing and fixing the engine back, on the second maiden flight, the plane just want to go up and up, so I had to give the elevator to the max down, what is not good after turn of the engine.
Finale is necessary to adjust normally the elevator and keep it down during flight with engine so that is possible the gliding without engine.
Generally the designers did something completely wrong on this plane.fliegt aus der Box heraus, Schwerpunkt stimmt, alles ohne Probleme, Empfnger einbauen, Laufrichtung der Servos einstellen und los gehts.I love flying my Minimoa. It is the most beautiful and graceful plane to watch in the air and all this for $110, thanks HobbyKing.complete rubbish much much to heavy and electric motor got no power?? ????? ? ?? ??? ?? ???.I received this plane from the USA warehouse in perfect condition. Every thing went together with no problems, until I tried to run up the motor. The motor would not run at all, it just stuttered. I removed the motor and found some broken wire coming out of the white wire and touching the metal base. I went ahead and removed the plastic mount with a dremel. I then epoxied a X mount to the nose and put in a Hyperion motor that came out of a 25e Hyperion Piper Cub. I used the spinner off my wrecked ArtTech Diamond 2500 with 12x7 folding prop. Because of the heavier motor, ESC, and spinner I ended up putting 1 Oz in the tail to get a good COG. I will maiden tomorrow.
