The new Easy combo from MultiStar and Afro, matching the most popular combinations into one easy package.
The "Baby Beast" combo matches the legendary MultiStar 2206 V2 CW/CCW motors with the 12A V3 Afro ESCs for a perfect 220~300mm quadcopter power combo. No more guess work, no more waiting for stock of all the combo parts.
The Afro ESC boasts high efficiency, all N-channel MOSFET design, jitter-free hardware PWM input, and smooth power response, the Afro ESC series are set to change the expectations of multirotor pilots around the globe. The Afro ESC series are shipped with multirotor specific SimonK software preloaded, no need to reflash. For added convenience the Turnigy USB linker can be used via the PWM signal lead for any future software updates eliminating the need for complicated flashing jigs or the need to cut open the heat shrink.
The 2206-2150KV V2 MultiStar nicknamed the “Baby Beast”, is the monster motor for the small 250 class quadcopters! Designed for 5 or 6 inch props, this motor has power on tap, and ready for your fully loaded 250. The motor has been beefed up in all the right places for FPV durability, with 3.17mm center shaft, 11mm prop flange and a 5mm prop shaft, there is no need to worry about the occasional tree in the way. It’s fitted with shimmed and pre-loaded bearings and high grade silicon wires. If you’re looking for more power, durability and value for your sub-300mm multirotor, think…. *Note: The box may reference incorrect power specifications. The power specification listed on this page are correct and accurate 3-4s 320w max. lower mounting screw length is critical to check. The lowered housing was reduced in height to make a nice compact 2206, the tradeoff is the motor winding is closer to the bottom, so overly long mounting screws could potentially contact the windings and damage the motor.

this set fitted fine into my tilt rotor 300mm quad. The motors have no vibrations and in combination with the ESC the quad reacts as fast as lightning. Baby Beast is a good name because the motors are small but the power they produce is amazing. I do nit regret in purchasing this awesome set.
THX to Hobbyking
Peterfantastic setup unbelivable punch for my 260 framesuper fantastic all is well esc and motor very smooth and high thrust on 3s i added prop 5x3 and its became rocked out of control then i decided to use 5 inch now its under control very nice and well finished product highly recommended if you have quad 250 - 300I ordered a 2nd set if these and they weren't QC'd before shipping. Unfortunately HobbyKing is infamous for this judging from the reviews on MANY items. The white epoxy inside the motor where the wires connect was spilled all over one of the mounting holes from the inside. So i tried to remove it but the wire was stuck in that position and pushed against the winding's and jammed up the motor. So if you get a good set of these they're great but its possible to get a bad set (for numerous reasons). These motors and escs scream in my robocat. I'm running 5x4.5 bull nose props with a 3s 2200mAh 30C. Perfect combination.2 of the motors became smoke without even having props mounted :(
Cant buy any replacements overhere so had to buy them from someone on Ebay :(Good product for the price.
Really too bad that the kit doesn't contain the M3 screws necessary to attach the motors to the frame. Doesn't "totally take out the guess work" ;)I got one set and three of the motors were making some weird noise and one was perfect,I said I had bad luck, then I bought another set and now again, two motors are faulty.TWO MONTHS have passed and I still can't have a functional quadcopter.I am still waiting for their "Initial Evaluation" and I am convinced they will not replace anything.Don't even bother to buy these, you will need at least 2 sets to get 4 working motors.Better go and buy some cobras.i buyed these Combo for my ZMR250 Quad, 3s 2200maH, flashed them with last BLHeli Software. Damped Light with SP3 FC and Cleanflight, Timing: Medium/High, Oneshot enabled, after 1 short flight 2 motors didnt spin up correctly, they startet to cogging, even on full throttle, >ESC fail, reflashed, same again. After trying some settings in BLHeli, suddenly one Motor started to smoke >ESC fail also smoked up.
Now tried to buy one motor again, >Backorder, R.I.P. 3xMultistar Motor
Sorry i cant recommend these ESC's to anyone, this is trash. 80 for trashcan. Go for some DYS parts. These Afro's are better rated, that they in reality are. Never had that bad ESC's in my hands.
Furthermore all of the motors where out of balance, the motors were vibrating the quad over the floor (without props). I solved this with some Tape for Balancing, but this is not very user friendly.A multirotor or multicopter is a rotorcraft with more than two rotors. An advantage of multirotor aircraft is the simpler rotor mechanics required for flight control. Unlike single- and double-rotor helicopters which use complex variable pitch rotors whose pitch varies as the blade rotates for flight stability and control, multirotors often use fixed-pitch blades; control of vehicle motion is achieved by varying the relative speed of each rotor to change the thrust and torque produced by each.
Due to their ease of both construction and control, multirotor aircraft are frequently used in radio control aircraft and UAV projects in which the names tricopter, quadcopter, hexacopter and octocopter are frequently used to refer to 3-, 4-, 6- and 8-rotor helicopters, respectively.
In order to allow more power and stability at reduced weight coaxial rotors can be employed, in which each arm has two motors, running in opposite directions (one facing up and one facing down).123123
