Not good, bought this soldering iron, added in new batteries yet it didn't even get hot enough to melt the solder! I tried with brand new batteries sevral times.less power - fast discharge - but for any emergency in field its okayWorks Great in the field. Pretty durable!
Great when you need to solder something on the go in the field I know i need to frequently i suck at soldering hahahah this fixes that on the go!This soldering iron works great for quick jobs. Isn't very hot but great for tinning wires. The soldier that came with it is terrible. Once it flashes once it's melting point jumps way up. Buy with confidence. This thing is absolutely amazing. Fulfill it's purpose with no compromises and never regret to buy it, especially for it's prize.
Tahle vcika je prost asn. Pln svj el nekompromisn, a za tu cenu nebudete litovat.Definitely worth a spot in the toolbox (leave 1 battery out til you use it so they don't leak obviously). For $3 it's decent quality build and simple, push switch on and hold button. Cap also has power button lock feature. To be exact it took close to 45 seconds to reach full temp, not really a gripe until you remember that you gotta be holding the button to keep it heated so that's only 4 star for quality. But I have strong hands and I re spliced fine wires in my media playerNot completely useless, but comes pretty close. Heats up rather fast, but soldering tip is ELQ (Extra Low Quality) which means that only a small part of the tip melts the solder. This probably is a hit or miss situation - some tip are good, some tips are bad. You can solder with it, but that's it. Don't buy for precision soldering. If you need more power: go to 6V (tried it - probably shortens life span) or get the 30W iron.Cheap and small great for those small items to solderProbably the best $3.29 I've spent in a while! Tested it out changing a motor on my V939, and made a nice clean job of it. Really handy to keep in a toolbox for those little repairs, especially in the middle of nowhere. No good for thich heavy duty stuff, but it's not made for that. Any light work needed on the other hand, perfect. Now I'm going to see if I can adapt it with a couple of lithium 14500 cells in it in parallel which should give it about 4000 mAh or more, plenty for those longer times, and fully rechargable. Great item!Total crap, heated up one time....then it was broken....
