The all new Quanum Q-3D is a high performance, 3-Axis brushless camera gimbal that is designed for use with the GoPro Hero 3 and Quanum FPV+ cameras on 350~500 size multi-rotor models (such as the Quanum Nova, Scout X400, TALI H500, QR X350 PRO and DJI Phantom).
When it comes to a great aerial video platform, a few things are key; design, size, weight and performance. The Q-3D is a design that has been optimized from the start for proper integration, saving on size and weight and the pre-tuned controller performs just as you would expect from Quanum.
The Q-3D is one of the smallest and lightest 3-axis brushless gimbals on the market. At just 110mm tall, it can clear most multi-rotor landing skids and only weighs 185g, perfect for 350~500 sized multi-rotors. Both pitch and roll can be adjusted on the fly from an R/C channel and has a huge operating voltage range of up to 28 volts.
The Q-3D is pre-tuned from the factory, requiring no setup, simply bolt on to the bottom of the Quanum Nova, Scout X4, QR X350 PRO or DJI Phantom, install your GoPro Hero 3/Quanum FPV+ camera and you're ready to shoot professional stabilized aerial video!

I want to be as honest as possible with this review. Overall, this gimbal was poorly designed from the start and has several issues.
It's designed to work with GoPro's and I have a Hero3. However, due to the placement of the camera, attaching a USB AV cable is difficult to say the least.
You cannot not control yaw via an RC channel, but I was aware of this when I bought it. It's a minor inconvenience for me, but a bigger problem is how if you want to control pitch via an RC channel, you must also use another channel for roll stabilization. You cannot control just pitch as the roll channel floats and then eventually drifts. That is a pain.
Third, if you plan to use a different camera or add a filter, you must change power and gain settings every time you power up. Apparently, my gimbal does not save settings after I set them. Unfortunately, you would hope there was an easy USB connector to adjust settings via your computer, but you must buy a proprietary adaptor to do so. Why do this at all?
Fourth, vibration isolation to prevent camera jello is sub-par. Decent experimentation is needed even on a fully balanced rig.

There are a lot of expectations.I can't give a proper rating for this, since I haven't been able to properly test it. The gimbal is by Quanum and claims to be compatible with the Quanum Nova, but neither the screws that came with the Nova, nor the screws that came with the gimbal can be used to attach the gimbal to the quad copter.
The Nova has four threaded holes for camera mount in a cross pattern. The sideways pair is M3 and the lengthwise pair appears to be M2.5. So the M3 screws that came with the gimbal don't fit and the M2.5 screws that came with the Nova are too short.
quality is not that great but is very cheap!Great product for the money, I bought one of these after damaging an expensive zenmuse gimbal, this is easily 90pcnt just as good as a zenmuse. Easy to set up, I use with a Turnigy Action Cam HD without any issues.I was a bit disappointed because you cannot control yaw from the Tx, but it works pretty well. I did have to zip tie the white balls because they caused tons of vibration during flight.Very disappointed with this gear. 1) Although advertised as ideal for the Quanum Nova, it is in fact it is too tall. It will touch the ground if you don't install some extra pads to the landing gear. 2) It points some degrees to the right all the time. 3) The pitch and roll potentiometers have no effect. 4) It does not center in accordance with the transmitter knobs. 5) It is not possible to limit the yaw stabilization, so will be looking at the Nova landing gear every time you make a turn. 6) The instructions manual is an absolute disaster. HK should hire English native speakers to review their manuals before releasing the product. I do not recommend this to be installed on the Quanum Nova quadcopter.
Going to it's travel limits my Q-3D is starting to behave very strange but in normal working conditions it just works great!to mount it in quanum nova it requires 2 M3X8 bolts that are not included. the motors seem to be little weak.
