The Quanum Venture FPV Quadcopter. It's time to Explore More.
This Deluxe package uses only the best components which include a DJI Naza Lite with GPS, Fatshark 250mW video tx and 600TVL fpv tuned camera, MultiStar 2213 motors and matched 20A Afro ESC's for a plug and fly FPV experience like no other.
The Venture FPV Quad started life as a H-quad giving the camera a forward unobstructed view of the sky ahead, as well as allowing for optimal equipment separation to minimise video transmission interfererence & perfect flight controller positioning for the DJI Naza. With a layout decided, a sleek purpose built molded frame was forged with an aluminum main spar and unibody strengthening. All the best provisions were taken into consideration, making the Venture the best FPV cross platform frame available with options and provisions beyond any other Quad in its class.
The Venture frame has a center spar to which most components attach. The ESC mount/power distribution board has pre-fitted 20A Afro ESC's and filtered FPV power lines. It also handles the centerline battery mounting. The Multi-mount FC position and Power module support is pre-fitted with a DJI Naza Lite and remote UBEC/USB module. The cross arms allow for in-tube wiring and the motor mounts not only look good, but protect the included 2213 MultiStar motors and have replaceable/optional landing skid options. The front arm mount houses a protected center camera mounting cube with a FatShark FPV tuned 600TVL camera pre-installed and wired with vibration isolation pads. The lower molded unibody shell attaches to the arms and spar and has provisions for universal gimbal mounting and tall skids as an option. The lower shell also has a rigid top cross roll bar that also plays the role as the GPS mount. At the rear of the lower shell a mounting cube for the included Fatshark 250mW FPV video transmitter. The upper shell is vacuum formed polycarbonate for a balance in weight and strength and lends well to customizing. Access ports have been made for all types of gear so maintenance is a snap.
The Deluxe Package only requires you to install your favorite radio receiver and calibrate the transmitter, charge up your 2200 3s battery and slip on your FPV goggles for an elevated experience. If you're new to FPV or just want a multi-rotor that you can pull out of the back of the car and fly FPV without any hassles, the great design and top quality components make the Quanum Venture Deluxe edition a platform you can trust.
The Venture is a refined evolution of multi-rotor DNA, and exemplifies cross use without compromise.

ISSUE 1 - The fact that there was no shipping paid on an international shipment made customs hold my package 3 extra days then just had the post office charge me $70 in import taxes.
ISSUE 2 - The amount of calibration for this thing right out of the box was a little excessive, and it still doesn't fly that well. I mean it "flies" but it sucks all the fun out of FPV when you don't trust it. It sinks when you turn and drifts like crazy. I'm used to my 260 which is insane in the air. This thing is slow and unstable, but I'm not giving up the fine tuning. I've spent hours trying to find solutions online but I'm starting to think mine might have FC problems.
ISSUE 3 - The props it comes with are too small. 9's help a lot, I'm getting some 10's next.
ISSUE 4 - Obviously the price. It's way too high for what you get. Make it RTF for the current price. Sure it looks cool, but its a tank in the air. No agility... I mean NONE. The perfect reviews must not know the joy of race class quads ;)Holy crap what a value! I picked up this FatShark/Multistar equipped combo for $170, or half off. The included flight controller alone is worth that much! Factor in the normally expensive FatShark cam and VTx, MultiStar and Afro power setup, not to mention this great frame, and you wonder why you haven't already bought one!
I've been flying with the included 8" props, NanoTech 3S 3300mah 65C, in stock form. 10 minutes leaves 11.4V on the battery, or 3.8V per cell. Wow.
The frame and FC combination needs yaw gain added out of the box, to compensate for the added surface of the canopy compared to most quads of its size. Setting switch positions in the DJI GUI with my Taranis/D4R-II combination was maddening, involving end-point adjustments and curves, (Nerds: different modes are selected at different PW, in a weird bandwidth of the normal 1000-2000ms spectrum). But once that was done, (thank you YouTube), it was easy to get the thing up in the air.
Menacing. Holy crap. This thing looks mean in the air. I wish the bottom tray embraced the style of the canopy, though, because it's a boring piece of grey ABS, not flat black and edgy. The included power system has more than enough room for adding on, so far I've hoisted a Mobius gimbal with no issue, LEDs are next!overall great quad for the money flys great however wouldn't use the props that are supplied they are hopelessGarbage....just garbage. If you make a multirotor, at least see that the flightcontroller works properly with the quad....not even close...wobbles everywhere, cant do a decent flight because the second you give it some altitude the quad starts flying erratic....h frame quad but controller only supports every other type but the H....horrible dji naza m lite....waste of my money, if you want a decent gps quad go for the nova, great machine!been flying my nova for 1 year now, spectacular quad!I've had all three versions of this quad and i'm extremely impressed with each one, I would recommend to anyone and already have, my father and brother-in-law, they have both recently bought the deluxe model the only downside is the lack of spares. After of months of trying to get this thing working and countless hours of videos and trying to contact hobby king to no avail im gonna scrap it and go buy a DJI dont waste your money, there is no support from Hobby King what so ever.First FPV drone, was pretty straight forward to set up, manual was not much help but there is alot of info online,
Drone fly's fantastic!!! im running with the Futaba 6ch and a multi-star 4000mah 4cell and i get easy 20mins and im landing at around 3.7v per cell so could go longer but im trying to take care of the batt.
In GPS mode this drone is very very stable and easy to fly, i have never flown drones only aircraft but its so easy. I did flick it into manual mode but nearly did a front flip, luckily i had plenty of height and just switched back to gps.
however the transmitter system seems abit weak, might be worth upgrading, mine dose not seem to have very good fpv range .
I highly recommend this drone :) great funAre spare parts available for this quad? I broke two motors/housings off the arms (which are simply bolted onto the arms) but cannot find where spare parts are available. I will try fixing with carbon and epoxy resin if replacement parts are not available, thanks guysBought this as the Deluxe version on sale, and its promising so far. Havent got the chance to fly it properly yet, but ive fiddled around a bit. Feels quite solid, quality feel is better than expected. Would really recommend people to buy the 10x4.5 props, as it seems to give more lift. Atleast if you are to put extra weight on it.This is a good value quad, I have fitted the Mobius Turnigy Brushless Gimbal which aligns perfectly we the pre-drilled mount holes. Using the supplied 8 x 4.5 props and a ZIPPY Compact 4000mAh 3S 25C battery I could barely get 6 minutes before it ran out of power and dropped even before my audio battery alarm went off. I test flew it with some Multistar 10 x 4.5 props in the garden last night on the same battery and the alarm went off at 11 minutes! I have modded the box it comes in so it can fit in with props and the tall undercarriage. I have change the FPV aerial to a ImmersionRC 5.8GHz Circular Polarized aerial, added a camera switcher and a small OSD. Looking forward to some aerial filming!
