The power shield is at the heart of the Dead Cat “Defibrillator” and is available separate as a replacement should your feline friend run out of 9 lives, or as a upgrade to the “defibrillator” main board without one.
The power shield which effortlessly supply’s a regulated, filtered and RF Noise shielded 5 volts at a whopping 3 amps for the camera and flight controller and 12 volts at 1 amp for the hungriest of video transmitters. This upgrade will save you weight, clean up your layout and improve reliability by reducing connection failures. I guess this Dead Cat has 9 lives after all!

This is a great product! I don't even have a dead cat but I brought it, it fits the standard size bolts for quad copters, pretty much all frames that hobbyking makes have these. Get yourself some m3 15mm nylon spaces, and you can stack your power distribution board etc.Bought this for my HEX and its PERFECT simple 12V for cam and VTX and stable 5V All neatly under the FC, as a sandwich . Works great ASo far outputs clean 5v and 12v. cheap alternative to having 2 ubecs onboard any quad. mounting holes aren't standard 45x45. slightly largerDoes not come with instructions or mounting hardware. So great to wait over a week for something just to find out you need more parts.Seems to work very well with a 3S lipo. I/O drawing in files section gives the correct 12V and 5V outputs. Works with 3-4S lipo and not 2-4S as stated in I/O Drawing. Basically this makes a great 'bec' for you radio rx and FC and provides very clean power for your video tx, OSD and camera while allowing you to use just one lipo to power the entire multicopter.Use it as a Power sorse in my reptile 500 !!use this as power distribution on a quad
