The Skylark 1600 EP Composite Glider offers great looks and performance at a price that won't break the bank!
The Skylark features a nicely constructed fiberglass fuselage, lightweight carbon fiber canopy with a beautifully covered built-up balsa wing and tail. The elevator and rudder pushrods come pre-installed as does the radio tray to cut down on assembly time.
As with any proper glider, the wing is easily removable offering quick and assembly/disassembly at the field. This makes transport and storage a breeze.
A 28-36 size brushless motor and folding prop w/spinner is also included. This means you will simply need to add your own ESC, servos and lipoly battery to get the Skylark in the air. All necessary hardware is included.

For the price this plane is amazing. The materials are high quality and the covering job was done well. The film is a little cheap so if you want to re-shrink the material you need to begin with very low heat and an iron. A heat gun will make quick work of it. I balked at the purchase due to the comment that the fuselage was twisted because if improper manufacturing. I am glad I decided to take the chance because that was not the issue with mine at all. There was maybe a degree or two difference in the plane of the stabilizer and wing but nothing I would not expect from an ARF. It would have flown fine as it was but I chose to add foam tape to one side of the fuse under the wing and it is all good. I would have given five stars for value except for two things. The motor mount screws that were included in my kit were too long so when I tightened them they crushed a couple of the motor windings. This destroyed the motor so be careful when setting that up. The second issue was that my plane only came with one plywood wing joiner. It only took a few minutes to make one from scrap ply but that should not have been necessary. One more thing to be aware of is that although the control surfaces are pre hinged, the hinges are not glued from the factory. I prefer to glue them myself so this was welcome but if you don't catch it your first flight will probably be short. I have yet to fly the plane due to weather but I expect it will fly well. There is lots of power availablMissing part~~so stupid with the rule in hobbyking~~almost impossible for ask they send me a missing part~they want me send the whole thing it back and I have to pay for the shipping fee and still take 4 week for check~I don't recommended to buy this item~like the guy upstairs said is wasting time~hobbyking Quality is going down~~So disappointed~~Hi Folks
The components have a good quality but you need a little skillful craftsmanship. However, the cooling in the area of the motor is too low. the motor has held only two 4 minute flights. Then it was broken. Here you can see the quality of the engine. Result: Good Plane but the Engine is the Mainproblem.To good to be true !
This kit is really a waste of time .
It's a very poor quality in terms of adjustments between the parts and if you want to make it right , you need to rebuild it !
I'm Composite engineer and the resin use to realize the fuselage is a basic polyester resin.
That will not be a problem if the resin was post cure . Unfortunately , it's a quick and dirty stratification and the resin is not even cured that it's already packed !
Thus , the fuselage took a torsion effect and when I bonded the horizontal stabilizer on the composite base platform , it's far to be parallel to the wing ...
You have at least 8 degree in between .
For this price , it was too good to be true .
If you want a good quality of glider , you need to spend more money .

First time and last time I order a plane from Hobbyking.The rudder hit the elevator and the rudder's pushrod hit too with the elevator. Wings have a light connection with the fuselage.
I used a "Hobby King 30A ESC 3A UBEC" and burn in the first flight...
but the flight is fantastic, very easy and awsome.I made the inaugural flight yesterday, nice plane, very stable flight, pleasant and accurate. but only 4 stars because it actually check the attack of the rudder is completely wrong, even by changing the output of the command wire is not ideal but it is only a stopgap, as also to other users, the motor is burned out after 10 minutes .. . however recommend it.very nice light weight glider with low sink rate, however my motor died on first flight too. I replaced it with the NTM Prop Drive 28.36 1000kv and it performs very well.Nicely built plane but totally wrong motor, ESC and too large prop. Mine drew 50A and motor burned only after a few minutes. ESC also smoked. I changed to NTM propdrive 2836/1000 kv and 40 A ESC. Motor started to smoke after a minute and so but ESC still OK. Before mounthing this motor, I cut out a lot of ventilation holes in the nose. The original mount has no ventilation whatsoever and front is covered by a large spinner. I will now try a Turnigy D2836/9 , 950 KV motor and use smaller prop. This plane does not need a high power motor. it is incredible that the plane designer have equipped this plane with totally wrong motor and ESC.
