The Freeflight series are just massive fun for all ages, they are ultra fast and simple to assemble as you would expect and quality is top notch, unlike the kind of kits you may have played with as a kid, these brilliant models utilize modern manufacturing techniques making them very durable, not to mention excellent performers.
The Skylark is a brilliant retro model that can be flown either as a mono-plane or a bi-plane, construction is very simliar to those models you probably flew as a kid and is very slightly more involved perhaps than some of the others in the range in terms of assembly but at the same time, a little more satisfying and still suitable for youngsters. The L-9 features control surface tabs for adjustment and this of course is the real fun of Freeflight, trimming the model to achieve circuits and maybe even a half decent landing when you get it really sussed! In addition, the wing position of the skylark can also be adjusted, shifting Centre of Gravity forwards and backwards, certainly adding to it's adjustability, fun and possibly even educational value. Now, if you are thinking you might get tired of winding up the rubber band with your chubby digits, never fear, we even have a battery powered winder with a built in counter (see related products) so no excuses!
Brilliant cheap fun for both adults and kids, the Freeflight series is a great way to have fun with friends and family in the local park, at picnics or even at your airfield!

Price an Quality is good.unbelievable for the price ! even with postage into account this is a give away item, and would be a great present for any youngster with a yearning to fly who has someone to mentor themGreat kit! Nice build quality! It temps me to convert it to electricThese are a great little plane got a couple for my 4 yearold grandson, ever he cant kill them , 5/5stars a great little flyer cheersVery nice toy. Holds some crashes outmy son and I have had great fun with this the standard battery winder can just do 200 turnsGood flyer & cheap! Great for experimenting w high vs low wing vs bipe aerodynamics. The red & black marks on the "fuselage" are CG marks depending on wing configuration.Se ve de vuena calidad y a un buen precio, recomendable para los niosAfter trying to convert it to RC using different motor and servos, I had a successful flight for 3min 44sec. The total weight is 32g, and the electronics are as below:
Micro Power system w/ Gearbox GPS-7 with GWS DD4040 propeller
2.4Ghz SuperMicro Systems - Single Linear Servo for rudder
HK-5320 Ultra-Micro Digital Servo 1.7g / 0.05sec / 0.075kg for elevator
ZIPPY 100mAh 20C single cell
2.4Ghz A-FHSS Compatible 5CH Micro Receiver (Hitec Minima compatible) pair with Hitec Aurora 9
Use 1 mm carbon fiber Rod for push rod and strengthen the wing.
I had tried Hextronik 2g motor with GWS 3020 propeller, but it didn't work out due to not enough thrust, and HobbyKing Ultra Micro Servo 1.7g for 3D Flight (Right and Left) couldn't sustain a few falls. The HK-5320 Ultra-Micro Digital Servo is super quiet and smooth, highly recommended.Je vais en faire un avion de voltige
