soft push rod (Snakes) - D3 x 1000mm (4pcs/bag)
Hmotnost ( g )
Once again HK provides no information on utilizing these things as there are no connectors and no suggestions where to find connectors to fit the inner rod. Need to use some sort of lubricant so that the inner push rod will slide in the outer sleeve. Very tired of "making do" with new out of the box accessories. A bargain isn't a bargain if the product is unusable without modifications. Not what I expected. Was expecting piano wire through the blue tubing but never mind, I will find a use for this!Cheaper version of Sullivan style Ny-Rods ... but work fine. The only problem is unlike Ny-Rod snakes from other sources - you do not get any connectors .... This poses a problem as the inner rod has a hollow tube fornm that is 1mm ID ... Solution ? 450 Helicopters use similar size control rods on the swash plate and heads ... so buy a set of rods for 450 heli head and you have enough connectors that screw into the inner rod fine. Before screwing in - you solder to metal threaded ends so your 2mm clevis can be used or bend a Z. Using heli rods does not expand the inner rod end and passes through outer tube fine.
As long as you support with wedge shaped inserts between fuselage and tube outside the fuselage - there is no need for any other stiffening - they work fine. They are better than the factory fitted 0.8mm control rod runs usually supplied which are prone to flex.
Many problems mentioned by others such as needing wire stiffening, friction, flex etc. are due to installation - not the product. Fitted correctly - they will work on small to medium size models ...good product works well with twin boom aircraftThese came so bent that the inner part wasn't even moving. Not sure if its got heat while shipping. Still tring to make it flat again so I can try using one. These snakes would be okay for fairly short runs -say less than 500mm - there is quite some slop in them - Having said that, if you are fanatical about zero slop, then you should not be using $0.70 plastic push-rods, now should you ?? - I actually bought them to use the tubes as sleeves for steel pushrods. If you are going to use them as supplied, then apply some silicone lubricant to the inner rods, as there is some friction there.
