I have problems with this engine. Me to rotated(broken) a ring of the piston and to torn(broken) piston and butt(breech). I need to know if to have supplies(replacements). Thanks HK.This engine is WELL worth every penny! Runs super smoothly swinging a 28/10 zoar. Low rpms are a steady 910,and full power rpm's are 7280 with perfect transitions! My motors not broke in yet ( only have 3 tanks of gas through it) but so far it has performed FLAWLESSLY! I absolutely love it. I'll add more info on it, after i get it mounted in it's permanent home ( a scratch built TR 260)I see now though,that TBM hobbies of california is offering these motors at a higher price. Buy dirrect from Hobby King! you'll save money,and get the engine faster! For this money You are not able to buy that engine nowhere.An excellent engine for the price.I was wondering if the picture of the vs100 is a version 2 or can someone tell me the difference between the version 1 or 2 motor.received this order very quickly.
One of the carb screws was stripped where it had been forced through a blocked hole in the carb, I replaced the screw.
Both the sensor screw holes were stripped, one screw fell out. I fitted longer screws which just held the sensor with the aid of epoxy.
On the test bench the engine had good compression and started well.
5200 rpm on 28 x 12 was exellent. 900 rpm idle for 20 minutes was great.
After that itgood engine but good luck getting parts i cant find the intake manifold anywhere and mufflers as well. . )...Is the best engine.... asdfdsafa adsfads fadsf ads fadsfljdsafjkldsafdsafjerqjklewjrkewqrewqrjewqrjewq ewqr ewq rewq rt re tre t rewt q wer qwe r fadsf xc v asd fa sdf etreaa efr esaI run the engine at my test stand with an 28*10 propeller. It ran fine out of the box absolutely perfect with 7350 rmp. The idle could be adjusted to 900 rpm with smooth transition to full throttle.
An excellent engine for a low price.
We will have to evalute the performance over time. The engine will be built into a Piper Super Cub from TWM with 3580 mm wingspan.
