The Tarot’s T-2D v2 gimbal is designed specifically for the infamous commercial quality Gopro Hero3. Using 6061T6 aluminum alloy full CNC precision machining, and their incorporation of the brushless motors as part of the overall framework reduces size and weight. The T-2D has been engineered to perfectly balance out with the GoPro3 so the load on the motors is minimized and require almost no tuning. The T-2D v2 comes with a new style two layer vibration isolation mount and BLGC mount and has various new frame mounting options.
The Tarot ZYX22 Brushless gimbal controller is unique from all the other run of the mill BLGC on the market. They removed the FTDI chip from the board to save size and weight, but is just as easy to use with the included USB adapter. The Tarot’s computer user interface for setup and tuning (if required) is the easiest and most intuitive seen yet. The Tarot packs in more options, like support for rate mode or position mode as-well as custom initial pitch angle, and support for standard RC input as well as S.BUS and Direct DSM2/DSMX input via a satellite receiver. Heads up it is a bitch to mount to a fy450 frame. I used 2 cross shaped motor mount adapters. One end of each was bolted together, then 2 ends matched the mounting holes for the gimbal perfectly and the mount adapters were the perfect width for the mounting holes on the fy450. Unless you have a suitable frame it will be a DIY job, but pretty simple tbh.

I ordered this Gimbal 12 days ago and paid for parcelforce express 24 delivery. The item never got delivered! Parcelforce have admitted it went missing at their delivery hub 10 days ago. Despite using live chat 3 times trying to get a replacement product or refund they still have my money and i have nothing. I opened a paypal dispute to get a refund and Hobbyking have now said unless i close the paypal dispute they wont investigate the missing item. Even if i close the paypal dispute im looking at 2-4 weeks for any solution! ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE AND I WOULD NOT ORDER ANOTHER THING FROM THEM! COME ON HOBBYKING WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING AT!!!!!!!!!!!!!Nice product. Came with the latest 1.5 firmware on it. No jitters and perfect leveling. Make sure the product is level and stable when powering up, and you'll get great results. Good price and product.
As a side note, this fits the GoPro camera great, but it may fit some other cameras with the same size too. Tried a GoPro and CCBetter camera and both fit good. Definitely should be a consideration if you are looking for a good gimbal!Very Easy to assemble. I 3D printed a mount adapter for my F450. Was easily modified to hold a Hero2 and Balanced very easily.This worked right out of the box great! I love how stabilized it is. I have a Turnigy ActionCam, and it works great(without the blue holder in front)Very, very happy with this gimbal. Very easy to setup and operate. Does exactly what it is supposed to do... hold the camera steady. Tested in both stabilized and in ACRO flight modes... you can not tell when I switch from one to the other. Well worth the money. Recommend!I wish I would have bought this gimbal sooner! Now all my videos have smooth buttery video that looks pro level. I just need to start working on my cinema flying skills.
My only complaint is the USB connector doesn't work. I have tried it on several computers, install the correct drivers, etc... the device is never read by the computer.Awesome gimbal! Worked right out of the box. Keeps camera rock steady even in aggressive maneuvers . It weighs 190 grams without camera. I even removed the entire vibration damper to save 30 grams and attached it directly to my quad. even then the video is jello free and no oscillations. Only things i didnt like is that the gopro needs to be mounted with a screw which is really hectic. The wires also hang loose which looks a bit ugly.This is an excellent, cheap, gimbal that works well with Pixhawk on my 3DR Quad. There are a few gotchas when setting it up, so definitely not plug and play, but well worth the money compared to much more expensive gimbals. Note that the (current) cheaper version has a plastic mount for the gopro and is missing the gopro cable, the old version was metal and included the cable. Tracking is smooth and I get extremely steady shots in flight. The only small negative are that spare parts are relatively expensive - its almost always cheaper just to buy the whole gimbal again.
