Another great product from the Trackstar Team. Even without instructions its very easy to assemble and use. Highly recommended for onroad and off road wheel balancing. For this price every driver should should have one. This balancer is well constructed and nicely designed. I am trying to balance 1/10 scale off-road buggy wheel and have quickly discovered I will have to find some sort of bushing to slide over the balancer shaft to perfectly center the wheel on the balancer.
I wish they had included something to center the wheels on the shaft! Two little cones or a bushing would be good. Overall a nice product- just not finished.Well designed and excellent quality fabrication. Very easy to assemble, only took 5 minutes. Successfully balanced wheels for a 1/10 scale buggy which has both 10 mm and 12 mm hexes. Recommend.Quite impressed with this sturdy design, lack of packaging was slightly disappointing and no instructions manual but was easy enough to assemble and is quite a rigid balancer unlike the cheaper options availableThis TrackStar CNC Aluminum Alloy Wheel Balance Stand is good way to balance your tires up to 1/8 buggy tires.
Quality seems fine for the price. The product does what it's supposed to do.
A calibration mark/gauge however would have been nice since now you need a triangle ruler or similar tools to make a decent mark with a sharpie.
The bearings run pretty smooth and the axle seems balanced well enough.
Conic washers that are a bit wider than the hex hub groove of the wheel would have been nice as it would help centering wheel and compensate for manufacturing tolerances of the wheels.
All in all this is a must buy for any RC car enthusiast! It works, but for precision product it is not acceptable, the treat and end nut are not good, the end nut treat is off center. bearings are not tight fitted so they come faling out when axes is removed from the body.
Don't waste money on this unless you have other planes for this item.I have mixed feelings for this item. Quality of parts is great (full aluminium) but out of box experience is terrible. After you grind few peaces for better clearance, oil the bearings and learn that you have to tighten the screw really tight it works as expected.
Only real problem that can't be fixed easy is the fact the the tread on the main shaft that holds the main screw for fixing the wheel is too rough so if you don't fasten it really tight the wheel will wobble.Assembly is easy if you look at the pictures. The machining is ok, a little rough. But not bad. I oiled my bearings before I put it together and everything spins freely. The shaft is not bent, but the nut that holds the tire on is drilled slightly off center giving it the illusion of being bent. But everything works great. It works and you can balance up to 1:8 monster truck wheels (up to 17mm hex adapter size). You can balance even 1:5 scale tires but you have to add addition stand and make a larger wheel adapter. Material quality is OK (stable & strong) but finishing leaves a lot to be desired. I had to grind some part to get resistance free movement, oil the bearings and 17mm adapter screw is not perfectly straight so if you don't tighten it enough the wheel will wobble. Conclusion: it works, is cheap, but finishing quality is mediocre.
