Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design. We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival, but surpass the quality of many leading motor manufacturers on the market today.

The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time.

First motor test on LiPo 8 S 5000mAh 30C. The APC 17x8 E I=56 A P=1650 W n=7300 o/min. This prop is in my view a little bit to small. The APC 18x10 E I=73 A P=2050 W n=6200 o/min is to large. Ideal in my view is a APC-E 18x8.

Habe den Motor in meine Stick 2000 eingebaut. Habe diese jetzt auf 8 Zellen umgerstet. Prop soll 17x8 drauf. Test steht noch aus

This motor is an absolute power house! Very large and solids bearings, excellent cooling air flowpaths, and a neat integral fan arrangement for good cooling. I use it in a Top Flite P-51D Mustang ARF. AUW 5kg (11lb).
Prop tests (all on 8S):
Turnigy Ultra Light 17x10: 2300W, 82A
Turnigy Ultra Light 16x10: 2000W, 70A (my chosen combination, gives unlimited and solid vertical - i.e. thrust 5 kg)
APCe 14x10: 1000W, 36A
The 17x10 (2300W) combination is probably the absolute limit, and relies on throttle restraint to let the motor cool between power bursts. The 14x10 result is grossly under-utilizing the motor.

9 Cell lipo 80 amp ESC 15x8 prop.

Started testing & huge vibration at about half throttle. (Prop balance perfect) After anumber of tests with a very experienced watcher we observed that shaft is distorting. Swapped it back to conventional mount although I didn't like it as I have had one where case distorted from a knock.Ran perfectly with 1950W from rig as above & 58A. Will fly it soon. Moral-IF you use friction prop boss & front mount & get bad vibration at certain revs stop real quick or it might shear at the collet flat on the shaft. Shaft at 6mm is probably too thin for power output.

Wonderful motor, looks good and feels good. Fitted directly into a Sebart 110 with out adjustment.

First bench test on 6S with 18x8 turnigy 3D slow flight prop 1050Watt.
Very nice finish and good quality on first inspection. Good job again HK
