Run this motor in RC8TE 12T pinion 50T spur gear , on 4s lipo is not that fast and running very hot after 5minutes 54degree Celsius and claiming up even with 2 cooling fans, on 5s i think this would run too hot and kill rotor magnet above 60celcius.

better spen more money for better motor mamba monster highly recommended got on best motor on the market no heat issue at all even on 5s lipo.

The motor is not/poorly balanced (it vibrates a lot even with no load) and has poor quality bearings.

I was going to try this motor for use in a 90mm EDF (modified Midifan) on 8s Lipo, but i think the losses will be too big. Not that impressed.

I converted my Hobbico Super Star EP with this motor, a 30 amp Plush controller, and a FlightMax 4400mah 3s LiPo. This motor is a direct bolt-in replacement with no modification necessary. With the stock 9x5.5 prop, the plane will go vertical for as long as I care to point it that way! With the stock prop, I have more than enough power and all of the components stay cool to the touch. So far, this motor has been great!

Very nice small engine ...



Use it in a old hotliner, and it's doing its job very well. But careful - make sure that the engine has enough ventilation to cool it!
