Introducing the Turnigy Micro-X Copter, the smallest BIG thing to come to the multi-rotor market.
The Micro-X Copter packs the power of Multi-Wii into a pocket size quad. This PCB based quad has an integrated DSM2 compatile receiver, 6050 MPU and Atmel 328P processor working their magic. With additional provisions for future development, this one of the most stable and adaptable little quad copters on the market.
The Micro-X is a complete package and only requires a DSM2 compatible transmitter. The kit comes with 2 LiPoly batteries, a charger, 2 sets of props and a matching FDTI tool, no need to fashion your own cables or hunt down the right spare battery.
For those that just want to bind and fly, the Micro-X comes preloaded and tuned with Multi-Wii. For the MWC gurus that want to play with PIDs and flight modes, the included FTDI tool lets you do just that. Binding to your DSM2 compatible transmitter is a snap, if the last bound transmitter is not found after 15 seconds the Micro-X goes into bind mode automatically.
For those that want rock solid performance, hackability and micro sized fun, this mini quad copter is a maximum must!

this is my first and probably last kit from hobbyking unless something I like has stellar reviews. first one came with bad board and the motors just spin as soon as you plug the battery in. so I did the returns stuff and made a video, after a couple weeks they sent another one with a bad board and I don't care about it anymore.Unit arrived faulty but I was issued a full credit on the cost of the item. I did enjoy assembling this quadcopter though. Had lots of features I would would have would have like would have like to try and tinker withmy unit was working correctly, no mosfets problems. This is my first quadcopter ever, though I had some experience with arduino. I used it with goebish firmware. It is very stable and durable, i have had many crashes and it is still flying flawlessly. Overall it is a very nice indoor quadcopter, i fly it everywhere inside the house. I recommand it overallFantastic little quad, great and inexpensive way to learn your way around programming a flight controller. No spare parts listed on HK, but look for spare motors and props for the Hubsan x4, they work perfectly!received my kit 3 days ago, assembly is pretty straight forward if you follow the photos,
integrated dsm2 receiver ( best thing actually)
very cheap prop material, they r literally un-usable, (had to go buy hubsan props)
motor quality and wire are quiet inferior, wires very flimsy easily would damage.
3 motors out of 4 vibrate like no tomorrow.
FTDI adapter included stopped working passively after heating up (have to connect battery) even with that sometimes connection keeps dropping.
Verdict: Idea and main board is great, but for the price I think HK shouldn't realy have cut corners on quality of motor/props and acces.
and support not returning emails for some reason !!
Just finished configuring new micro-x received on 4/19/15 with Goebish's Multiwii 2.3. Mosfets are good after 5 flights and stability is great. Mine came with white/black props. If your looking to waste 65 bucks, look no further. Once you peruse the internet for everyone else's horrible time putting this together, you too can ruin it just by plugging it in. No instructions, and the picture on this site still has the quad set up incorrectly. Once you get it all put together you'll then have to try and unsolder and solder .5mm mosfets. WHAT? That's f'n hard?!?! I know I just finished completely ruining mine for no chance of a refund. THANKS HOBBYKING!Hi I purchased this quad to hopefully have some fun flying it indoors.
Sadly this is not to be after assembly I thought I would power it p and see if it bound to my Tx which it did, unfortunately all the motors just wanted to go at what appeared to be full speed ?
So after several hours of searching I managed to find the information required to calibrate the board .
Now I have a quad that has three motors tht obey the throttle and one that ignores it and just runs at full throttle so in my opinion it is not fit for purpose. The kit is very complete. It flies great. The only problem i have is the fact that you if you get the kit with yellow props you most likely need to replace the MOSFETs on the circuit board. They are not expensive but very small.
