More than just a fancy name. TURNIGY nano-tech Lipo batteries were designed from the ground up with serious performance in mind. Utilizing an advanced LiCo nano-technology substrate that allows electrons to pass more freely from anode to cathode with less internal impedance. In short; less voltage sag and a higher discharge rate than a similar density lithium polymer (non nano-tech) batteries.

 

For those that love graphs, it means higher voltage under load, straighter discharge curves and excellent performance. For pilots, it spells stronger throttle punches and unreal straight-up performance. Excellent news for 3D pilots! 

 

Unfortunately with other big brands; numbers, ratings and graphs can be fudged. Rest assured, TURNIGY nano-techs are the real deal, delivering unparalleled performance!

 

This particular battery has a 2-pin Molex connector. Please refer to the attached image as this Battery has the "B" plug polarity. Please make sure this battery suits your connection. The wrong polarity will damage your electronics.

The nano-core technology in lithium ion batteries is the application of nanometer conductive additives. The nanometer conductive additives form ultrastrong electron-conducting networks in the electrodes which can increase electronic conductivity. These additives create the ability for imbibition in the carrier liquid to supply more ion channels.

 

This improves the ability of ion transmission and ion diffusion. Through improving electronic conductivity and ion transmission, the impedance is reduced and the polarization of high rate discharge decreases greatly.

Habe zwei Akkus fuer einen xciterc Rocket 125 Mini-Quadrocopter gekauft, da diese Lipos eine hoehere Kapazitaet haben als die originalen - 750 statt 350 mAh.
Jedoch passen sie nicht - wie zu erwarten war - in den Batterieschacht. Versuche, sie mit Klettband zu befestigen ... ;-)

Doch Achtung: Die Polaritaet des Akkusteckers passt nicht - zumindest bei meinem Modell!
Mit ein bisschen Bastelei kann man die Kabel samt Buchse aber aus dem Gehaeuse loesen und vertauschen. Vorsicht, nicht kurzschliessen!

With the polarity reversed, this is an excellent choice for the WLToys V931 (XK K123) heli. But the thickness is actually about 9.4mm rather than the advertised 9mm, so it is just slightly too thick for the XK K124.
Has anyone tried applying a little force (a vice perhaps) to gently slim a LiPo down to its specified size...?

Great size for my quad with higher discharge rate. I would recommend anyone who play small size of quads and planes.

These work well at first, but after about 5-7 cycles they get very weak and become useless. I'm using them on a micro quad that draws 12 amps at the very most; well under the specified maximum for the battery (0.750 x 35C = 26.25A max).

Exceptional choice for Syma X5C-1. It's a bit of a squeeze but fits without modification. I get 7-8 mins runtime with constant camera recording and 12-15 mins runtime with camera, legs and prop shields removed. Quad performance appears similar to stock 500mAh battery and is warm to touch after flight, so perhaps a graphene or other higher discharge-rated battery could give slight performance increase.

The tight fit in the quad's body means the only way to remove the battery is to pull on the battery wires. This is asking for trouble. Instead, apply a 4cm piece of electrical tape with a 5-6mm protruding tab at the end of the battery, which will make removal from the quad's battery compartment very easy. Needed to reverse polarity for my SYMA X5C miniquad in which it fits nicely. Flight time is longer and thanks to the near zero internal resistance, motor performance is also improved than with the original batt.

Good battery so far. Although the Nanotech lipos usually lose their performance rather quickly. But, they are cheap... I consider them as disposables and buy new ones when they die.
I bought two of these lipo for my WL Toys V931 (3 blades AS350 heli). They are longer in size than the stock ones but they fit in the battery tray, and the canopy still closes properly.
They give much more punch than the crappy WL Toys stock ones, at the expense of increased weight. 12g for the WL Toys, 18,6g for the Turnigy Nanotech. That's 50pcnt heavier, but you also get 50pcnt more capacity, that means longer flight time! And the extra weight does not affect the flight performance either.
But be VERY CAREFUL!!! on the Tunigy pack the plus and minus are reverted on the plug, compared to WL Toys "standards". What I did was to cut the two tabs on the plug, so that I could connect the battery properly to the heli. You just have to make sure you connect the battery properly, or you will probably fry the board on the heli.
Overall a good choice if you are looking for replacement batteries for the WL Toys V931, just pay attention to the polarity before using them.
