The motor is smooth at low speeds and has fantastic Torque to get those 1/8 Buggy wheels spinning and up to full speed in the blink of an eye ! Highly recommended ! I run this in my Hobao Hyper & am always at the front of the pack !Well it was a great motor for 2 months, lots of power and smooth, but it burned yesterday..
No hard driving, was at the track and the car stopped, smoke comes out of the engine..
First battery maybe 5 mins driven...
Wouldnt recomend it,but it felt great when it workedPut this in a converted Traxxas Revo [3.3]. Honestly couldn't be happier with this motor. Runs cool and has excellent power. I've only ran it up to 4s so I can't comment on how it holds up past that. I've been using mine unsensored since I bought it and have had no problems. The HK 150A esc is a good pair for this but I ended up putting on a Hobbywing 120A model because it was waterproof and significantly smaller than the massive HK 150A one. I'm extremely happy with both products and would purchase again.Nice quality. Runs smooth and stays cool. I have one 1900kV in Kyosho Scorpion XXL and this one in TeamC GT8, both with 4sGreat engine on 4S where it reaches 91pcnt efficiency at 30-50A, and 80pcnt at 120A so it's in the same league as top brand motors that are 3-4x more expensive!
Usable on 6S, but beware that it can put up to 160A (4kW)! Efficiency drops <80pcnt over 130A and at 160A max it's only 75pcnt. So on full power it generates 1kW of waste heat and that means if you don't have a really powerful fan cooling it will overheat in few seconds. On 6S it's good for speed runs but forget high speed/power racing with it.Great motor! Tons of torgue! Running this with the 150A Gen 2 ESC in my Revo conversion, great combo!Great motor! Using this with the Trackstar gen2 150amp ESC...perfect combo in my Revo conversion..crazy torgue and speed!!In my Cobra Be with Hobbywing ESC on 4S and it is excellent. recommend this. Torque, power and response...satisfied with everything.Purchased this motor along with the 150a esc to put into an emaxx. This thing is great. I installed 10 AWG wire on the esc and motor and they don't even get warm. Soldering the 10AWG wires can be tricky but with a bit of patience they fit perfectly even on the 4mm bullet connectors that the esc has. Running on 4s 5000 mah 40c the max temp my heat gun showed was around 140. Was told by hobby shops not to get this brand but I can honestly say that I'm 100pcnt satisfied. IMHO Great Buy.
