Je viens de recevoir ce train rentrant. Je vais le monter sur un Corsair F4U de JAMARA envergure 1m48 et 3kg300. J'ai fait un premier essai blanc et le fonctionnement est parfait. Ce train rentrant offre aussi la possibilit de s'en servir comme un train classique (c'est dire sans pivotement 90 degr). FRED

I made this video of my installation of these retracts in the center section of my Top Flite Corsair 60 ARF. The install was easy. Although the plane will weigh between 9-10 pounds, I'm not concerned that these retracts can handle the weight. I have several pairs of similar HK retracts in 10 pound warbirds, and the struts in these are the same, 5mm, and they hold up very well. These feature metal trunnion blocks, so even better. All hardware, axles, excellent. Of course it helps to know how to LAND a warbird.

I made this video of my installation of these retracts in the center section of my Top Flite Corsair 60 ARF. The install was easy. Although the plane will weigh between 9-10 pounds, I'm not concerned that these retracts can handle the weight. Received these yesterday and they seem fine although reading the fitting instructions made me re-check the original spec. The depth of these retracts is stated as being 25mm yet the instructions show 28mm, measuring the actual retract depth with a set of vernier calipers confirms they are 28mm. I bought these to fit in the wing of a BAe Hawk I'm building which has an overall thickness of 28mm and as you can't remove the 'fixing plate' they are pretty useless for this installation. Be warned, a good, realistically priced pair of retracts but the depth could catch you out. RL

Excellent retracts, I use these on my A-1 Skyraider 1600mm with a bit of modification and not one bit of trouble. Nice and strong and I like how these use the ball link connecters for the twist and turn feature, it adds more holding strength and less chances for the retracts jamming on their way down. I've had about nine flights, four of them pretty rough landings and not one problem yet. Thanks Hobby King.

These are a direct replacement for the retracts of the 1.7m P-40N EPO sold by HobbyKing.

Great value and they work very well. My P-40 comes out to 4Kg and they handled it fine.

well i needed a set of 46size twist and turns for a kyosho p40 and a H9 corsair so orderd 2 sets i can report the value is excellent and with a bit of engineering to the area in the wings they went in ok operation is excellent the outer is plastic and the inner is metal twist is via a ball link which works ok and holds the wheels strate when the legs are down and no twist on the wheel i can amagen a hard landing may pop the clasp off the ball turning the wheel however i have used this before and this never happed! the end movments are mirco switchs so it shuts off the motor when the worm drive hits the swithc i havent tested the over current yet as i dont wont to stress then but im shore it would work one thing i noticed is the legs have to move full cycle before the switch will send them the other way so you carnt be harlf retracted then expect them to open again before the have finished ther cycle if that makes sence . on excellent thing about theses is that there not just twist and turns hyou can fix the legs via three m4 alen key worm screws this is a must better way of stopping legs twisting on landing all in all a very versitile retract unit one word of caution the brass ball links are a little soft and are easy off tightened! so just nip em up and use lock tight.
