I've installed these on my HK SCT with a single cell lipo and these are bright enough.
Just uploaded few pics in the "FILES" section.
These can also be plugged in any spare channel of controller box that comes with scale led light system like HK or Turnigy Scale car LED light system. Overall these look really nice.

I tried plugging them in to a 5V BEC, and two of the LED's burnt out almost instantly.
Why Hobbyking write the maximum Voltage (< 3V) in the Item Description?

I installed it on my Tamiya Clod Buster today. It match the size perfect! It runs on 2.8 Volt pretty good. Dont use more than 4 Volt for that system. It will be destroy it. I use the Turnigy Smart LED Car Lighting System from Hobbyking. Product ID: 9070000005

Remember, you have to change /- at the plug. After this it is plug and play. Very nice Scale part for a low price!

I can absolutely not recommend this light set. After connecting the LEDs to a 5V BEC they died instantly. Unfortunately I read the above posting too late. The PVC construction looks solid so with your own LED it will probably work out as intended. Some specifications at the product page would be very nice to prevent more customers killing the LEDs. Because like that, its just a waste of money.

My son got these for Christmas. Just tried installing them. The plastic light bar is OK quality, pretty good for the price. But I tried plugging them in to a 5V BEC, and two of the LED's burnt out almost instantly.

Garbage. I'll have to get some new LED's and fix them myself.

this is cool as looks great on my fj40 tojota fits well on 10th scale would be ok for some 8th scale bodies even
