Hand laying your own HO railway points, turnouts or track is easy and very cost effective. You can build a set of points for a few dollars great way to reuse short lengths or pickup damaged track at a swap meet.
Our HO scale 1.9mm thick PCB Ties have a very clean edge and do not require additional finishing. The PCB strip can easily be cut with a rotary tool to isolate the rails or cut to the desired length. Both sides of the tie are doubled sided..
PCB ties are used at strategic points in hand laid trackwork to permanently hold the rails in gauge. The remaining ties are filled in with wood ties or if desired PCB ties can also be used. For the ideal look, the PCB ties should be painted and weathered so that they blend into the existing track.
