This model is a great fun little 3D flyer. The 3 mains points with this model is the power and control set up. The brushless motor provides more than enough power to get the model airborne in seconds and you really can just drop it and watch it take off as seen in the Hobbyking video whilst the micro servos provide excellent control. Next, is the incredible detail that they have placed in building the plane to look like the real thing with the curled wing tips to give you the true 3D flight that youre after and a stunning red finish in the air. My last point is strength, I have literally hit the deck as they say with this model on its first flight at full power and cut the entire nose section away from the wheel mounting grove forward, but after getting home and gluing it back together the model was straight back out and flying perfectly. This is a true advanced flyer plane that will provide hours of fun to anyone willing to try it.

This plane is great, it's inexpensive, easy to put together, small enough to take anywhere, batteries are cheap and most importantly it flies great. I was a little worried about my first flight (I am with all new planes). But just a soft underhand toss and it took off. The CG was spot on and it needed very little trimming.

It rolls crazy fast, stops on a dime and turns quick, it really flies like a much larger plane. The Edge also slows down really well for landings or casual flying. The plane looks great in the air and it flies SO well. I really am surprised, I didnt expect too much out of this. I can see that this is going to be a plane Im flying a lot.

My only knock on it is that it is pretty fragile. It did have small cracks on the wing tips, but nothing Id fret over. They were fixed with a little CA. Im sure they had to keep it light because of its small size. I flew it on a soccer field and belly landed it. On one landing it flipped and broke the very top part of the rudder off. It still flew great with the piece missing.

I was getting about two minutes flying full throttle and could probably push it to four flying casually.

The batteries charge fast too, Im off to fly it again!

It is a fantastic plane. It flight very well. To adapt it to my fly way I use the exp to 100pcnt for elevetor, airleons and rudder. The lipo give you a fly time to much short, so I use now a 300mah and the fight time are incresed... Consider that like recever I adapted a HK-T6A-V2 and the balance with a 300mah is right. For 3D this plane is fantastic!

This plane looks slick with its high gloss paint, shaped wings and detailed decals. However it is very twitchy and you need to keep its speed up, otherwise it will tip stall without warming. To that end, I found the motor would melt the housing and burn out very easily at full throttle 4 minute flights. (The manual states only use full throttle for 30 seconds, but like I said it is too unstable at slow speeds). After a few nose heavy crash landings, the front bottom bit of foam broke away. I inadvertently solved the over-heating problems by creating a cooling vent for the motor. I highly recommend making this modification. See the Files tab for the uploaded Cooling Vent for EDGE-V3.JPG image. It is not noticeable from the top of the plane or while flying.



With the star rating, There should be a new rating named "Flight Characteristics" This would be 2 stars.

Not fully EPO ... when arrived both wing tips broken ans ESC not working .... I accidentally broke the fin and tried to CA back ... fin melted ... not EPO foam ....

Nice Plane , fast and responsive ,i really was amazed by the handling
and precise handling.
And yes it does hover but be careful not to fly too far like i did and nearly lost sight of it in a few seconds its so tiny .
Good park flyer .

having problem getting it to fly. Tried moving 350mah 2s battery in the tray right behind the motor mount/firewall, sticking a qtr. on the batt, and moving it back to the 2nd slot cutout where the main wing is and all it want to do as soon as I barely level out from takeoff is a violent snap roll to the left then spirals to the ground nose 1st. Can someone tell me what the hell is going on, and what I can do to get rid of it?

Le miens est arriv en bonne condition. J'ai charg les lipos 2s 180mah. Trois vols en Indoor, trs stable, rapide et trs maniable mme avec 80 et 20pcnt en Dual Rate.

Aprs une trop grande confiance et une srie de double looping, je l'ai explos au sol... cass en deux, je l'ai recoll et c'est tout bon. Juste le moteur qui a flanch.

J'ai reu le mien aujourdhui!
WOW l'avion semble vraiment solide. J'ai une E-flite Beast 3D et la Edge 540 est beaucoup plus robuste. Les servos sont trs rapides. Les ailerons sont mont sur charnires.

Je ne l'ai pas encore vol, la temprature ne le permet pas pour le moment.

Le seul bmol, j'ai reu l'avion avec le bout des ailes un peu abm. Elle ne sont pas cass alors a ne causera pas de problme pour le vol. C'est la saison pour laquelle j'ai donn 4/5 pour la qualit.
