I was very excited to test out the new Quattro 12a x 4 ESC. It made for a very clean installation with very professional-looking wiring. Unfortunately when I energize the unit it caught fire and damaged my flight control board. HobbyKing was really awesome about crediting my account or the board but I'm still out one flight controller I would not recommend this particular product but I've had great results with most of everything else I've bought from HobbyKing. I'll try posting some pictures of the board under the files tab.

This is a great ESC but it will not fit 1 200 size quad. other than that it works well

After getting this product and installing it into my quadcopter it was flying find at first. But after a couple a flight it just falls from the sky. After taking off the props to inspect it better i found out that one of the motors was not spinning. I also bought the programming USB dongle, so i thought it was just something in the setting. But after messing around with it i couldn't find out what the problem was. Then i decided to see if i could find out a solution on the internet, and i found out that it was because of a wrong capacitor that was . Anyways i ended shorting out the board somehow. I would not recommend this ESC. Sadly because of how clean my quadcopter looked. Hopefully they fix this problem and stop selling faulty boards.

Don't forget you have to pay a price for cheep products. Brought one of these they were cheep and a good idea, took a week to make my 4th. quad copter only to find it was as dead as a door nail when I put the battery in the finished article. I think to cut the cost of cheep things they don't pay anybody to check that the finished article works. No good claiming from HK takes to long and its not easy, do what I have done 4 times before just throw them in the dustpan. This is the price you have to pay for cheep things.

works great on smaller multi-rotors 2mm female connectors already attached. goes good with the dys be1806-13 2300kv brushless motor that comes with male 2mm connectors already attached

I bought this to use in a color 250 frame but had to remove the bottom case to fit into the copter. It is small but still a tight fit in 250 sized frames. I would suggest using individual ESC's if building anything 250 or smaller. Operationally this unit has performed as expected, no heat issues and hookup was a breeze.

Ich habe den ESC mit den empfohlenen Multistar Motoren gekauft und einen 250er Race Copter gebaut. Leider erzeugt der ESC Motorabsteller im Flug wodurch der Copter vom Himmel fllt, weil die Motoren erst nach neuer Initialisierung wieder ablaufen. Vermutlich wird dies durch ein zu niedriges Timing verursacht. Mein Copter wurde dabei zerstrt! :-( Das ESC wird ber USB Adapter nicht erlaubt erkannt, weshalb ich die Einstellungen nicht ndern kann. Warum gibt es keinen BEEP Code zum ndern ber Sender? Das ESC ist so nur Mll!

Installed one in my Spidex 220. Fitted perfectly into the floor mount. Performs well. No problems so far. Good value for money versus buying 4 ESCs. Saves on weight too.

This ESC reboots in flight. Expect your quad to randomly fall out of the sky. Don't take my word for it, here is a direct quote included in the favourite firmware "Jenny Fix Esc
Hi Everyone, I am Jenny from Favorite Electronics, who is the manufacturer for this ESC. Sorry to cause the reboot issue and late reply. It's hardware problem and the solution is easy, just need to replace a bigger capacitor from current 0.1uF to 1uf. Please refer to my below picture from the link to point us what the cap is. Its ok, won't support 4S. Also causes a TON of noise on the power circuit which sucks if you plan to use FPV gear on the same feed. The ESC function on 3S works well. The setup GUI is easy to use. If you plan to use FPV gear on the same circuit, best to use a LC power filter behind your radio/camera.
