This is an awesome motor. The 8XL runs in my Emaxx on 5S2P A123 cells and a Mamba Maxx controller. It FLIES! It does immediate somersaults if you pull the trigger to halfway too fast! It gets quite hot (65 celsius) and that's with a heatsink, but keeps on going.... I might try a fan, but meantime it is a complete hoot to watch it drive around the outside of the nitro boys!! PLEASE get some more in Hobbycity.

The Feigao range of motors have always offered unbeatable value, and at this price you really can't go wrong. The 8XL is an excellent candidate for 4 or 5S LiPo, and although it tends to run on the hot side (in warm weather especially) it won't overheat if you're geared properly. It also provides gobloads of torque and more power than you'll ever need in a 1/8th or 1/10th truck.

It's never going to be quite up there with the high-end motors in terms of efficiency and build quality, but those motors cost many times the price of the Feigao XLs.

This is a good motor at an utterly incredible price!
