1:24 scale Rock Crawlers have become very popular over the last few years, FMS has become part of this fast-growing side of the RC hobby with this Chevrolet officially authorized FCX24 K5 Blazer. FMS is one of the most experienced RC manufacturers today, and this replica's attention to detail is second to none. Chevrolet's first-generation K5 Blazer appeared in 1969 and was the most compact SUV on the market at the time. It was designed as a sport utility vehicle with excellent off-road ability and opened up the joy of adventure and the great outdoors to many, many people. This FMS model perfectly captures the essence of the full-scale K5 Blazer design, its realism is beyond expectations with accurate details including a detachable rear cargo bed hardtop, large diameter wheels, rearview mirrors, roll-bar w/lights (for when the hardtop is removed), and special electroplated parts including the wheels to add amazing realism.

The FCX24 chassis is a high-performance, high-strength integrated nylon molding, with the trapezoidal beam joined by metal side beams to provide a durable and rigid platform. The included multi-link suspension with coil springs and hydraulic shock absorbers allows for maximum axle articulation over rough terrain to maintain traction. The power from the two-speed high-torque transmission is transmitted to the front and rear axles through metal universal drive shafts, and the axles are equipped with a simple gearbox built into each hub (commonly known as a "Portal Axle") which increases the ground clearance and reduces the load on the differential. The K5 Blazer also includes a 2-speed gearbox that is operated by the transmitter via an on-board servo. The low gear of 99:1 gives the Blazer a strong output torque for extreme climbing, and the 24.75:1 ratio gives the Blazer an impressive top speed of up to 8km/h.

The FCX24 K5 Blazer has an easy-to-remove rigid, injection-molded painted ABS bodyshell, this means it has highly accurate scale detail, plus it is tough and very durable. The Blazer also boasts an RC-controlled light system for even more added realism.

The 1:24 scale FMS FCX24 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4WD arrives ready to run, it is fully assembled and is complete with a full set of powerful, factory-installed water-resistant electronics. These include a high-torque brushed 130 motor, 2-in-1 receiver/ESC, independent chassis-mounted metal-geared steering servo, and a 7.4V (2S) 380mAh LiPo battery for up to 30 minutes of run time (20mins with the lights on). To get started, you only need to charge the LiPo with the supplied USB charger, install 4 x “AAA” batteries into the included G3 R3A 3ch 2.4GHz transmitter, and you are ready to unleash your adventurous spirit.
