that's a great radio: excellent quality, easy to use. the only defect is the 600mah battery, it's not sufficient (at least for me).

I have now been using this radio for a couple of times and I lowe it. I have not done any scientific test of the response time but by just comparing to my optic 6, with the same servo, I think the Futaba is faster.

I would like to have some more fredom in programing though, like adjustable flaperons. Not just the on/of.

In the UH information it says mode2 but don't be afraid it's so easy to program it to a any mode 1-4 the only thing that takes a few minutes is to change the spring and ratchet to the other stick. I hope UH updates their information on this as it would get more people to buy the radio.

The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the prize of the receivers, this cheap radio becomes very expensive if you have to buy another receiver (around 150 USD)! And the tiny transmitter battery, 600 mA gives you only around 3 hours, you will have to upgrade this.

But I will buy a 2,4 module from UH to my Optic 6 also and UH have receivers for only 25$ to that one, because I really lowe the CDMA advantages.

This is an excellent radio system, at an extremely low price. Looked around the net for a while and could not find it cheaper. The integrated functions are more than enough to satisfy the begginer and intermediate pilot. This is a full range system, and there are not much more one can expect from a 6ch radio. I never had a glitch, unless when the TX antenna is pointing staight to the model, which is easy to avoid by positioning it as recommended in the manual (which is very well written by the way). The initial feel is not so good due to the cheap looking all plastic TX case, but as soon as you start using it, its persision, resonsiveness and functionality will leave you the best impressions. Some do not like the four digits model memory names, but I can not see why one would need more digits to define a model. I highly recommend it, and looking forward for UH to sell standalone recievers.

What a radio !!! I'm so impressed with this system , after years with cheap hi-tec gear, upgrading to this raido was the best thing I have done . So many good features ,No glithing & the best thing of all was the price, here in Australia the same radio will cost you $380.00 GREAT VALUE :}

What a nice radio system! After checking the range I am totally convinced and this is so convenient! No long antenna with risks to stick in the rotorblades. The feeling that there will not be any mess with other radios make me fly my Helis in a relaxed mood. I love this!

I bought this package and have been delighted with it. I started using it with helis and am now doing planes. The 6EX has been excellent:

- No glitches EVER

- Amazing range

- Great features for the price



I understand that the Futaba Advanced Spread Spectrun Technology (FASST) is beter than Spektrum because FASST changes to different frequencies every 1 milli second the Spektrum system decides on 2 frequencies when you switch it on and stays on them so it's possible that interference could start after the frequencies are chosen. The R606FS also is a true dual diversity receiver which means it has 2 receivers running in parallel with a micro controller deciding which signal to use.



I wish I could buy the R606FS receivers from here.

I got my Futaba 6EX 2.4ghz Fasst system last week. I installed it in my plane and flew it this weekend.

All was perfect in every way.

I was having glitching problems with my other sysytem that this one replaced ( this plane only ).

I did the range checking ( power dowm mode ) with the 2.4ghz and I went ( I measured ) 250 feet without even a servo humming, not a twictch, nothing.

I had total control, at 250 feet ( powered down ), I figured that was far enough.

I then started the motor ( Fuji BT43EI-2 gasoline ) and range checked again.

Went the same 250 feet ( power down mode ) with out a twitch, perfect.

With a 79" wingspan plane you can get further out there and I did not have a single problem with any flight.

I am very, very happy with this radio.

I am used to the options since my other radios are Futaba 6EXAP's, same layout and functions. The only thing it doesn't support is split elevators, but the other radio didn't either. Futaba told me on the phone you need a 9 channel plus radio for split elevators ( out of the Futaba line up ).

Warning! Read manual carefully!

Only when I moved the antenna to a position where it pointed exatly at the plane, as opposed to the recommendations of the manual, I had periods of failsave /hold.

Moving the antenna to the correct position instantly solved the problems.

So Do not do it =)

And Futaba slowness is only a runnor!



The T6EXP 2.4GHz latency, measured as a blackbox from stick to servostart:

- Channel 1 aileron, 76 re
