Engine dies when run below 3000 rpm.

Ran well at high end. At low end (below 3000 rpm)the engine would die. Tried adjusting needles but it would still die. Ordered a new carburetor but have not run it since.

Love the sound

This engine not only sounds good, it starts easy once you get the carb. adjusted. The problem I do see with this engine, it vibrates awful bad. So I greatly suggest that you mount it on rubber mounts. I installed this on a 1/4 scale Piper Cub and on it's maiden flight the engine shook the plane so hard the it broke the stabilizer wire braces and I lost one of the cub wheel. So find rubber mounts before installing!

I see all the good reviews on here, but I have to say that this engine looks very good, but the one I bought viberates so bad, it shook parts off while flying. Lost a wheel, broke a stablizer brace and more. I checked the prop balance and it was good. So I am looking for a replacement for my 1/4 scale piper cub
