it flies difficult

It is not an easy flyer. due to the big vertical surface it tumbles easily. wing area and vertical area are almost the same, so ending up with 4 wings. but it is just for fun. it lands always on the nose, so tape it in.

I picked this dolphin up to throw some old gear into for dirt cheap. I was amazed on how well it flys. I have a 2205 2300kv motor with a 30amp esc and using a bullnose 6045 with 1000mah-1200 3S batteries. Had to add 1oz weight as batteries are too light. Balanced from the middle of the propeller opening to the front edge. It doesn't like ailerons very much, I just use rudder mainly for control. It flys so stable and slow I can hover it around and buzz around within 1ft of obstacles and fly under carports lol. Only complaint would be how much the foam stinks if you leave it in your car and the nose of the dolphin breaks easy as it lands on it. I also didn't use the CF support rods, it seems sturdy enough with the CF glued into the slits of the plane itself. I actually cut the long one to use in the frame. The foam is brittle if you smack into things though. Highly recommend for the price and fun.

DIY build kit has lots of carbon fiber supports control horns, linkage rods and screw connections. Assembly is a bit difficult due to all the carbon rods linking top and bottom half together while inserting the wing and trying to keep everything straight and at 90 degrees from one another, two tables side by side works well along with several jugs of water as weights to ensure flatness as glue dries. Should be a fun 3D plane slow flyer with lots of surface area for knife edge and oversized control surfaces. Powering this with 2212 1400kv on 3s lipo with 8x6x3 blade prop should hover with no problem.

Went together well was very hard to control in the air so I reduced the side area by cutting 60mm off the top and bottom keeping the same shape. Give the wing a few degrees of dihedral and made it rudder elevator control only.
It now flies quite well.
Over all quite a challenge but good quality.

Save your money this is junk would hardly fly on motor recommended. Keep crashing due lack of power. Do no Recommend
