Great boat with few annoying issues

Dec 07, 2021

Overall great boat but, it is not that easy to get it out the water ( on a step), it is to heavy for its size due to that it likes to turn on itself anytime you make larger rudder input, and last thing whoever designed battery trays should "rot in hell" as putting batteries in and out is a nightmare. On a good note its reasonably quick, runtimes are decent on 2x 4000mah 2s and it looks awesome.

battery tray is a BAD JOKE

Nov 22, 2021

great boat, fast and smoth. BUT WHAT IS THIS FUC... BATTERY TRAY ??? Seriously ??? If you want to fit recommanded battery, you must disassembly cooling system, and the silicone rubber aren't very strong and brake easily... Actually, I've just fitted 2200mah 2s battery without hardcase. A JOKE.

Great Boat

Sep 17, 2021

For the money, this boat is great. The quality of the hull, the painted and clear coat finish and the level of engineering are excellent. It is very fast and stable at high speed. I found that reducing the rudder throw by setting the 'Rudder DR' dial at 4 instead of the factory setting of 5 makes the boat a little less sensitive to rudder input at speed so I don't accidentally knock it off step nearly as easily, without giving up too much authority at lower speeds.
As others have said, it does take a few seconds to get up on the step and if you turn too abruptly it'll drop off step pretty easily and take a couple seconds to hook up again. But that's a function of the surface running prop. If the boat was set up to really launch out of the hole, it wouldn't be nearly as fast on the top end. Trim tabs will not help this, they will only slow you down. Other reviewers also recommend turn fins. I don't think there's anything we could add to make this thing turn any faster or harder than it already does, it'll already swap ends in just about its own length. Turn fins are needed on hydros and flat bottoms because there's almost no hull in the water and nothing for the rudder to work against, but they are totally unnecessary on a deep V like this one. Like trim tabs, they'll only slow you down.
The only downsides I found are that the notches in the prop were a little too small to fit the bosses on the drive dog properly. A couple minutes with a needle file to remove the plating in the notches made it fit right. I also found that the prop needed to be balanced, it was pretty far off. Neither problem would probably be a big deal, you could probably force the prop on without much extra cranking force and it will definitely spin the prop as-is, but taking the time to get them right will make the whole drive line last much longer. The bottom of the rudder on my boat had a pretty big bur on the bottom that I cleaned up with a file and sandpaper. Any roughness below the waterline on a boat like this can really slow it down or change its handling, so attention to details like that can make a big difference.
Like other reviewers, I found that the batteries are a little fussy to get in and out. To help solve the issue I rerouted the water line from the ESC to the motor on the left side of the boat to the middle of the boat, looping it under the right side water line and moving the spring to the motor cooling jacket nipple. It didn't really solve the whole problem, but it does make it a little easier to get to the left battery. I think the cooling system works better too as the spring and much looser loops at both ends keeps the line from kinking at the motor jacket and ESC and it can't chafe on the underside of the left gunwale.
The boat runs very dry unless you flip it at speed. The cooling system works surprisingly well. The motor outrunner and the battery connectors are the hottest things in the boat after a hard run. The ESC and front of the motor barely get warm.
I would recommend this boat to anyone. It is well worth the money.

Extrem schlechter Kundenservice

Sep 02, 2021

Nice performance BUT has a fatal flaw

Jul 25, 2021

The 2815 motor is not up to the task, burnt out windings on 3rd pack, dead in the water, boat full of smoke, ESC is OK checked it on one of my plane brushless motors, I am now left trying to source a replacement 2815 that can handle 4S, I suspect the motor has not been changed from the V1 which was 3S
Also contributing to the issue is insufficient water through put the pick doesn't appear to be positioned optimally and cannot be adjusted
So a nice boat and with a more robust brushless or cooling issues sorted out would be 5 stars.

Good Value

Jun 06, 2021

My first RC boat and after some teething issues I’m loving the boat. It’s worth carrying spares though I’ve already snapped one drive shaft and bent the prop when I run over something in the water. I also pulled out the battery carriers and fitted Velcro which helped with the lack of room to maneuver them in to the hull.

Aquaholic v2

May 06, 2021

This is my first rc boat and it's well made and is really fast, it's a bit tight getting the batteries in and out but it can be done easily once you know how, turn fin's /tabs might help to keep it in a straight line on full throttle, and maybe a 2 blade prop would be a good addition, all in all its an excellent boat for the money, 10 /10

Fast boat and even faster delivery

Apr 22, 2021

This is my first rc boat, and I have to say I'm very pleased with it, very fast and a decent run time using the recommended batteries, have to say I've not had a problem getting the batteries in and out, no you don't have to remove cooling tubes or remove the motor, I've go it down to an art now, could do with some steering tabs /fin's on though, I think that would improve the steering at high speed, they probably haven't been fitted to keep costs down, only gripe I have is at low speed there's only a few drips of water coming out, only on high speed does the cooling water come out fast, All in all I think its a very good buy and would recommend it 100%,
