I bought FW 190D ARF. I used 1400kv bell motor, 18 A ESC , 1050 mah Rhine 40C battery, 7x5 propeller, Orange rx 3 axis stabilizer reveiver. Aileron 50pcnt, Rudder; 50pcnt , Elevator ; 70 pcnt . 4 times, I flied with this combination land off and land on were very good. CoG is 41mm from leading edge. I pushed 1/4 of battery to front place. It is convinience.

I've bought this plane and installed:
-turnigy L2210 1400kv 210w motor.
-hobbyking 20a esc
-apc 10 x 5 propellor
-zippy 850 3cell compact battery.

I thought that the motor, prop combo was a bit overkill but it flew good. FAST!

I cut a bit of foam from the inside of the batteryhatch to make room for the battery.
I put the esc in the room under the battery compartment, only accessable when the wing is removed. no problems with the CG. was instant perfect. exactly at the carbon spar. no trimming on the elevator.

minus points:
-there are only 2 screws per hinge, so i added 2 more at the rudder, ailerons and stabilo.
-one decal on the side missing.
-the guns which I glued on, where gone after one landing, maybe my own fault but if they where to stick in the wing it would not happen.

plus points:
-the displaystand! makes it easy to work on the model.
-the looks of the airplane.
- it's fast. I like that.
- cheap!

Overall a good airoplane, happy with it.

Nice looking model but actually a bit of a troublemaker. The wing is crooked. They glued the fuselage and motormount so its a pain to screw on a motor and route cabling. Also the cockpit floor not so handy because you need to route cabling and make room for the electronics. The elevator is pathetic and broke on the first landing just hitting some grass/weeds. I will be able to get it to fly well but I might as well have started a scratchbuild. Oh, and this thing loves to tip stall so be on the ball if you like to come in for slow gliding landings, it will drop a tip on a heartbeat and since they have a torsion rod and single servo ailerons not possible to mix flaperon into it. I guess you get what you pay for. Pity I was really excited about it.

Ordered the plane just based on the price and my good experience with other warbirds. In the end I tried to get the plan stable and handsome in the air with 3s 1000mAh lipo. The plane/wing is not really stiff so it means that it is no fun to have it in the air. So I stopped tiring to get it flying well? Instead I order the P47 - awesome. So safe your money or better buy the P47 ;-)

nice looking little plane on the stand. Goes together easily except for the horizontal stabilizer, which is a real pain.
Suggested COG is 45mm from nose??? I think they mean 45mm from leading edge, but don't try to fly it at that as it won't. 35mm from leading edge is getting close, but maybe even a couple of mls closer would help. Needs to be flow fast, and will tip stall at slow speeds. Great value for $20, but not for the beginner, as it is quite difficult to fly. I am running a 2010 motor with 7x4 prop, a 2s 1000mah battery (dremeled some out of the nose of the battery hatch to get this right forward), and still have a 12 gram sinker in the nose.

Bought this as an ARF and fitted my own powertrain. I used the Bixler stock engine (1900Kv 3S), 20A Birdie ESC and a 6x4e prop and 100mAh 3s LiPo. Went like a rocket, but was realy tailheavy, after a few crashes and rebuilds I had about 35-40g extra weight in the nose and it flew like a champ. With the speed and the G it pulled the tail was way to weak and went into a spin istead of a pulout. I have strengthened the tailfeathers now and waiting for an even more powerful motor. It's a BLAST :) Very very touchy on the controls, I use 60-75pcnt expo in order to do slow turns but get a rollrate of about 1080degrees/sec in high speed and full stick. Great fun, but not a beginners plane, needs attention for CG and stifening wings for faster flight.

I bought this ARF and fitted my own gear; Emax 1200kv bell motor, 12A ESC, 8x6 prop. You dont need much elevator throw and its worth having CoG forward rather than aft. This plane is a real hoot, after a new paint job it looks fantastic, for a start a Fw-190 without a spiral painted on the spinner is just not kosher and dont get me started on the tail art... The plane is touchy, needs fine control and some expo doesnt go astray and I love it!
