The Hobbywing QUICRUN BL system with integrated ESC solves the problem perfectly when you have a limited amount of space in your rock crawler. Combining a brushless motor with the ESC means that less room is taken up, wiring is much simpler, and there is a saving in weight, it only weighs 201g.

This system is specially designed for 1/10th rock crawlers and incorporates FOC (Field-Oriented Control), this is something new to scale trail racing and rock crawling. It has the latest style of sensor fitted to allow for extremely accurate control and sensing of the motor whilst maintaining extreme performance, reliability, and strong, powerful low RPM torque. The motor runs very smoothly at very low speeds, runs cooler, and performs far better than ordinary sensored systems or brushed power setups. Being specially designed for rock crawling etc it is water and dustproof, it is quite happy being used in ice and snow, muddy, sandy, or wet conditions.

Another feature of the QUICRUN BL system is the active drag brake force adjustment, this provides unprecedented parking and control on steep slopes. It has 8 levels of "Drag Brake Force" and 9 of "Drag Brake Rate", this is about twice that of ordinary brushless systems of the same size. This and all the other parameters of the ESC are easily changed using the supplied LED display programming box. It is straightforward and intuitive to use using the 2 LED displays and the 4 push buttons. Simply plug it into the port in the advanced electronic on/off switch and you can very quickly change the settings. The advanced electronic on/off switch is fully weatherproof and has been designed to ensure a long and reliable life. It will not suffer the usual contact issues that you get with mechanical switches when used in a dusty or wet environment.

Currently the best brushless Motor/ESC for 1:10 Crawler/Scaler

This combo has all needed functions: very smooth on low speeds but also powerful if you want it to be, very good braking behaviour with many possible configurations. the FOC is new for me and i like it. if you use this combo with 3S Lipo, you have a wide range of usable speeds. would be more happy if the price would be around 80 euros :-)
