Bought one of these to try, works ok, 3V3 and 5V outputs within 0.05v of rated voltages. Runs off a 3S lipo without any issues (since max input for AMS1117 is 15v, shouldn't be a problem!). Only issue is doesn't fit any of my breadboards - power rails on module are between 44-45mm apart (negative pin to negative pin), and all my 'standard size' breadboards are 45-46mm (negative hole to negative hole) apart... so a little modification is required there. The USB port is for supplying power to an external USB powered device (ie Arduino). Only 'downside' would be that the current capacity of the 5V line will be reduced as you load up the 3V3 line, since the 5V regular drops the input for the 3V3 regulator. At say 1A on the 3V3 line, and 500mA on the 5V line, that's still plenty for most projects!

Fits on the bread board that came with my Arduino kit but not on my older bread board or strip board. For DC in I am using a 3S 2200 mAh LIPO. Takes up 5 ROWS.
Its good for the right bread board and can be modified to fit
